Parkside Cafe — Restaurant in Pinellas Park

The food was great as always, but the waitress we had was absolutely terrible. You could tell she was in a bad mood or maybe having a not so great day, which is understandable... But we did not dine there to hear about the bad tables she had so far. My mother was coming back from the bathroom when we were ordering our drinks. The waitress was like, "what do you want?!" She didn't write down any of the drink orders so after all of us saying what we wanted, she got out her pad and asked again... when she brought the drinks back, she brought me a diet Pepsi and a regular and told me she didn't remember which one I wanted (even though she wrote it down) and told me to drink both to see which one was diet...We waited a long time to be seated and a long time for our food, which we were fine with bc we know Sunday is very busy. After waiting, my order was not right and the waitress argued with me that it was (I ordered chicken salad and got seafood salad)... My mom's order was also wrong and she also argued with my mother about her order. I ended up not even eating my food bc everyone was done by the time I got mine again. She just made our whole party uncomfortable the entire time (about 3 hrs!)my mom asked her to get the manager, and she ignored her. We just wanted to let him know how much we love coming there for the food and we never had a bad experience there until now. The waitress argued with our whole party while we were trying to talk to the manager, it was absolutely ridiculous. The manager apologized and asked if there was anything he could do and we explained no, we wanted to pay for our food,...

I am sorry to say, but Saturday night was the worst service my family and I Has ever had there. My family and friends usually go there almost every Saturday evening. We ask for a waitress named Marilyn. She never misses a beat. Coffee cups and drinks are always full, salads and soups came all at once. Never had issues. Saturday we go and Marilyn is gone (quit), we end up with Mary. There was our table of 5 and 3 other smaller tables, not busy at all. Mary never filled coffee cups and drinks we had to get her attention. Soups came and about 5 minutes into the soups...no salads yet. Again we had to get up to find out where the salads were. My aunt ordered over med eggs and they were well done(no juice in the yolks), my kids ordered country fried steak with white gravy and french fries. The french fries were drowned in the gravy also, we did not ask for them that way and the fries were mushy. My wrap was to come with sprouts and I specifically told her that I wanted no lettuce and to make the sprouts on there....well the wrap comes and NO sprouts. I let her her know there was none and instead of bring some sprouts they were wasteful and brought a new sandwich and threw the other one out. the owners daughter was nice and comped our ticket, which she did not have to do that Other than that the food is wonderful....its a shame they lost a great server. Marilyn cares about...

Today the Parkside cafe has caught my eye, driving right down 49th craving something delicious yet not having a clue where to go. Parkside Cafe has a beautiful building which says “look at me” I decided to go ahead and give it a try today. First walking into the establishment I was greeted by the friendly staff and was even asked what type of seating I preferred. This Cafe has hit all the key points you would want in a establishment. The food was absolutely amazing the best diner food I have had in such a long time, and the staff was so quick and efficient to deliver it to us, they offered all homemade dishes on the menu and just had to give them a try. The biscuits and gravy, the broccoli soup, the jalapeño skillet, pancakes, and the homemade burgers were a hit. To finish off this review I would like to give a special shout-out to the hardest working waitress ANA she was absolutely amazing waiting on us so efficiently even when she was so busy, she was running the whole floor.
