This is our second year (winter season) staying at Roberts. And we just booked for a third season next year. We are from Boston and originally came to the St Petersburg area renting a condo and storing our travel trailer at Robert’s. Last year 2023-2024 we decided to spend the winter months in our trailer and rented a site here. We fell in love with the resort and came back again this year 2024-2025. We actually extended our stay, 2X this season we liked it so much. We hated to leave. The staff in the office are extremely friendly and helpful, even when they are busy. We have seen first hand how amazing they are at handling an office filled with foot traffic, phones ringing non stop, and doing it all with a smile. They are happy to assist with any questions we’ve had and when there is down time engaging in conversations. The maintenance crew are also great. Always there to lend a helpful hand if needed. The area itself is convenient to just about everything you could want. There are restaurants, stores, and medical facilities all close by. The park does get busy and full, especially during the winter months. We’ve found others to be friendly with a sense of community. Many people like us have returned for another season. We feel safe in the park, enjoying nightly walks or other activities. There are several activities offered, swimming, aerobics, pickle ball, corn hole, movie nights, pot luck dinners and more. Each month a booklet is left at your doorstep outlining for the weeks ahead all the different things to do. We are birders, and the bird and hawk watching have been fantastic!!! In fact the resort backs up against Sawgrass Park and we’ve had Bald Eagles, Kestrels and Red Shoulders with several different Warblers, and Egrets right near our site. As some reviewers have noted planes do fly over head, and there is a shooting range close by, but we haven’t felt it was overly loud or disruptive. Overall we love Roberts RV Mobile Resort and are looking forward to...
Read moreOnly good thing about this park is it’s residents and the activities they organize!! Do your homework in this park and read all reviews. If you stay in this park like we did for 3 months you will hear all about the owner Allen and his antics from everyone you meet there and their experiences with him! We enjoyed our first 3 weeks there so much we went through the long and tedious process of purchasing a mobile home, which involved a combined income of $6000 plus having $200,000 in your bank account! Was told it will take 2-3 weeks to be approved, which is not true! was told we were approved by Cole (Owners son-Allen) but then told on the Monday by Sherrod real estate we weren’t yet approved... which then led to a verbal assault by Allen!! After this he made our stay horrible. Sites are small and tight to get into! Expect the site you booked to be changed once you get there! This park backs onto a gun range and is open till 10 pm so get used to noise! Facilities are older and run down! 70% of the washers are broken and expect to wait to use 1 that works. The sites where there are tree’s are very dirty and expect to sweep up 2-3 garbage bags of leaves . This park has rules for some and not others! Like other reviews state expect high fee for hydro our average was $130 per month which didn’t involve air conditioner being used as well additional charges which you were not made aware of. We had our son stay with us for 2 months and paid $180 per month ...they have 2 brochures with different prices and charge the highest and state well that’s what you are paying! We ended up being evicted on our last day due to having guests over that we apparently as they state didn’t inform them.. which we did! If your looking for a quiet park and drama free this is not the park! Please make sure to read all the reviews which clearly state how the...
Read moreOffice gals -great. Always willing to help and very accommodating! If we needed anything they were always helpful. Especially Bobbie!
Communication once in the park was not present. There’s a booklet for the month that was nice and gave an overview of the activities for the month and I heard there was a Facebook page but we could never find it.
Loud!!!!! Right next to a major highway, we heard loud, fast driving all day/night long! And right behind our spot was a huge sound barrier wall because behind it is a shooting range campground that provided lots of extra noise too!!!
If you’re looking to relax outside, those two things really make it impossible to do so except the pool and hot tub. Those facilities were very nice.
Tight. Really don’t know how we managed to get our 5W in the spot they assigned. No room to breathe at all. Just enough room for our 5W, truck, dog pen and two chairs. We rarely sat outside as was very, very claustrophobic.
Extremely rude people at the dinner we attended. Rude enough to keep our party from attending other functions while there. I didn’t feel the camaraderie at this park although there were many, many nice folks.
This park felt really dirty. Probably because there’s little grass so campground spots had lots of sand and dirt.
NOT A 55 AND OLDER RV RESORT!!!! If you want no children…..go elsewhere.
Seemed some rules were enforced on some campers, some not.
No dog park.
Great laundry facilities. The clubhouse was nice but very dated and not very big. Good selection of recycled videos, books and puzzles to use. Good...
