From the normal eye you can’t see the issue. But being certified in diamonds and gemstones and Jewelry repair. I see differently I went to the establishment today. First off I’ve done a lot of business with watch dr with a lot of my fine jewelry. I don’t know if this is a new owner and team. They weren’t wearing the aprons etc that the staff usually wears nor did I see my friend who usually does my jewelry repairs.. I brought in two diamond bands that were just purchased not even 3 days ago. The two bands were identical in color clarity and the radiant cut stones. They were supposed to be sized for me which were my intentions on coming. However I don’t know what happened when they sized my ring down to 7 1/2. First lesson on sizing down if it’s alot of diamonds sometimes it can mess up a setting but that size is more like a 6 or under. When I received my rings I noticed that one has been altered. It looks like two stones are replaced with horrible diamonds less quality than the original stones. Then on the way home I noticed that even the prong settings don’t match. This confirms they did replace my diamonds with very poor quality stones. I will never give them anymore business cause clearly this is not the one I usually go to. Someone else is running it and I know longer trust this team or establishment. Now I have to go research and get the stones replaced smh. For this I should have stayed at home and used the ring adjusters still cause at least with that I still had my diamond stones and not these poor quality ones. They lied and tried to say it’s the polish no sir it’s the stone. You altered one of my diamond wedding bands and tried to cover it up. Not knowing I worked for Zales Diamond store and jewelry industry. So hurt and frustrated from this whole situation. Please beware this is not the same Watch Doctor that got the 5...

Read moreBrought my 1974 Seiko QT watch on February 23. Everything was taped up and in baggies. I brought it in for a broken stem replacement. Everything needed to put the watch back together was provided and my only expectation was that they'd find a watch stem to put my broken stem back together. Came back 1 month later with a new stem (because they couldn't find one) to be told that they don't have the tube and the crown (although I clearly brought it and I luckily at least took a picture of the broken stem with the screw on crown attached. Told that they would look for it and put it back together since the only thing they wanted was the stem. Came back 2 weeks later to be told they couldn't find it (apparently they threw it away, who throws away parts for a 1974 watch?)and now they're ordering one from some guy in NYC. Now I'm told that I never gave them a tube, crown or stem. This place is a joke.
If you can't fix the watch, don't accept it and then lose the stuff needed for it. I could've have had this fixed in one week and a half by simply sourcing the part myself.
Decided to give a local business a try only to be left dissapointed and with a sour taste to their...
