The manager R is a very NASTY person and very prejudice. He does not work with people and claims he goes “by the book”:
It’s obvious his level of education was rigged and or stops at kindergarten level, when fails to comprehend the concept that a that a verbal agreement from an Aaron’s employee is just as valuable as a written agreement. Regardless of his “manager” presence.
I was told by other store workers that they would remove my couch to replace it with the new couch: which was already the verbal agreement made over the phone and confirmed. Well Manager R unexpectedly he came to my house delivering my couches ( overcharging me for 4 items when my order says 3/3 well where does item 4 charge come from?? Is he stealing from people? With a nasty disgusting attitude and made it seem like he was doing me a favor asking me “where do you want me to put it!” Like as if removal of the old couch as agreed upon wouldn’t clearly show you where to put the new one! Common sense if I asked the old one to be removed, it is to then place the new one there in that spot. Then looks at my clean new apartment saying I can refer my friends for money trying to bribe me and he was going to give me $75 to spend more money. I really don’t feel comfortable being offered anyone’s personal money while they’re on the job… when I have a husband. He doesn’t need to be a manager. We are the ones who keep him in a job, if it wasn’t for us he wouldn’t have a job!
Also says my furniture came “new”… yet it came straight out of the moving truck unwrapped even the console in the couch had no “new couch” wrapping/ plastic covering to protect it… THESE COUCHES ARE NOT NEW, more like refurbished…
$4,000 for this couch set without an ottoman and tables with it? and a side of a bad attitude everytime I talk to the manager? I NEVER initiate conversations or contact with him, I always deal with the regular employee who are so polite and respectful (whom in my opinion need to be managers). It’s almost like he knows when I’m calling. He’s made me very uncomfortable with his actions like he’s obviously done this before according to other past reviews, and yes I’m sure he makes fake reviews to outweigh the authentic negative ones. He is well aware as he stated to me of the dozens of complaints on him. But he didn’t know I’m not like the rest, to tolerate it and WON’T. I’m very scholarly educated, and will NOT be belittled by a store manager… HE is not the CEO! I fought for his freedom to sit in a store and treat paying customers like disposable waste. NOPE!
I finally got fed up with him and now returning it…
Enough is enough! He issued no apology for his actions which were highly uncalled for, I am precisely only a FOUR DAY CUSTOMER and right in the door he is disrespectful, WOW! Very disgusting person! This couch is not even all that anyway and let alone this is how he treats black veterans! BLACK PEOPLE do not shop here! Absolute disgusting and honestly overrated...
Read moreFirst day i went in Michaela was very helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. Found me a package deal I was happy with. Gave all info to set up weekly payment plan. Several weeks later I found a tag on my door saying they weren't getting payment and tried to pickup the items. I called the store to clear up the mess. The weekly payment plan was not set so no payments were made. The man I spoke with insisted I pay the entire back owed amount. I explained I didn't know the payments weren't being taken and didn't have that much to pay. It was the holidays mind you. He was EXTREMELY RUDE. I've worked in Customer service for over 20 yrs and felt he said everything to bait me instead of to just fix the situation easily. I got so mad I told him to send someone for the items, I'd switch to RAC. He said fine. When the delivery people came they apologized and had me call someone else. This employee took what payment I could offer, accepted that id pay the rest Friday and that was that. Quick, easy solution and everyone was happy. Fast forward to last week when my card expired and Aaron's called bc payment didn't go through. I got a call at 8am on a Saturday. I gave the guy my new card number but told him it wouldn't be valid until Monday bc they thought it had a fraudulent charge and locked it for 24 hrs. He said ok and made note to run the new card Monday. About two hours later another employee called me saying there was problem with my payment. And it is never said in a polite way, very accusatory. I explained I already spoke to someone and gave my new card info. Monday afternoon someone calls AGAIN. Tells me I had an appointment at noon and they're wondering if I'm going to show. I said I have no idea what you're talking about and isn't the store closed to public bc of the virus? They said I was put in for an appointment at noon for payment. I couldn't believe it. I explained AGAIN that they have my new card info and just needed to run it Monday. There should have been no appointment and there was no reason for me to go to the store during this time of isolation and social distancing. In short, there is at least one male employee who needs to be fired for having a NASTY attitude. Second, communication between employees regarding customer accounts needs an overhaul. Read moreI originally called and spoke to Michaela yesterday after speaking to Rent-A-Center first and telling her what they offered me she said she would cut that in half and she had a bunch of promotions to work with and she was the right lady that I needed to speak to!
