Raley's — Local services in Placerville

I am so disappointed in my neighborhood store. I have been coming here for 11 years and now I've decided to make Safeway my store to shop at. Today I eagerly went to Raley's for their 59 cent a pound turkey that came out in the adds yesterday. The butcher told me they had sold out already and I could get a rain-check at the register. When the sales-clerk was writing out the rain-check, the manager?, told her no rain-checks and no substitutions!! I had driven 25 miles round-trip to purchase a turkey for my families Christmas dinner! The add had only came out yesterday and there was nothing said in the add about quantities limited! I'm so upset and aggravated and have decided to make a trip to Safeway for a turkey for our dinner instead! Safeway has always stood by their adds and offered a rain-check with a smile! I feel the manager was really flippant with a, "Sorry about that!" as she walked away! I have to drive a extra mile in my round trip to a grocery store but I feel so upset about this that I will gladly drive the extra mile from now on! This store is nicer in appearance since they remodeled but there is no consideration in how they treat a long time customer! I feel they've ruined Christmas for...

Like others who have posted I just experienced the incredibly awkward experience of the staff assuming I was going to steal a basket after self check out because I didn’t purchase bags. I bring the basket to my car, unload then return it.

Randomly a staff member approached me saying he’ll take the basket when I’m done. I informed him I’m going to my car to unload my groceries. He said he’ll follow me. I didn’t protest but it made for a very uncomfortable situation. Him following me then waiting beside me as I put my groceries into my trunk before taking the basket and leaving.

I called the store to provide constructive feedback, only to discover it was the manager who instructed this staff member to escort me out. The same manager who smiled and saw me pay for my groceries as I proceeded to leave. I asked if the policy was posted, as I must have missed it yet he wouldn’t answer the question.

If the manager would have politely informed me on the spot of the policy that isn’t posted, I would have completely understood but since Derek said nothing then put it onto his staff member to do, makes this even more of an unprofessional experience.

Being treated like a potential thief isn’t the Raley’s...

Friendly environment great service with the worker's. Most store around town treat people like by threatening them and treating them like theves I get it there's a lot of shop lifting here but u can blame the drugged up bums there a byproduct of our ever increasing lack in maintaining hour public school parks and keeping the law unforcement not being like a dictator ran county witch it is sum what it's. But with that saidits getting much better due to the towns leadership having Made significant changes in the behavior in like the da's and PD and others but this is starting to become a much better environment now I seen first hand . It's still dangerous out here cuz thered a lot of people starving.. and have no potential opportunities for housing bye to the lack of work and property for sale or rent and if they are there way to expensive or have outrageous guide line or rule for you to obay. And very rasist all I witch I don't see here at Rally's it's a sign of the positive potentially of this town great service and great job thank u my local rallys....
