The Comic Signal — Local services in Plainfield Charter Township

Stopped in here on a whim on my way home from Grand rapids.. was I am so looking for numerous back issues to complete some collections. When I walked in I was blown away by their selection of comics and back issues. I was created very pleasantly and asked immediately what I was looking for and if I needed any help so I let them know what I was looking for and the lady behind the register stopped everything she was doing and came over and explained to me where everything was and how it was cataloged.

The amount of back issues that this place has is amazing and how they are organized is even better. There's been numerous times where I walk in the shops and things are just a complete disaster but this place is different. All of their back issues are completely organized by title or bras. They even have a section specifically for incentive issues and bundles.

The new comic area was also very abundant and had everything that I was looking for for my current pull list. I can't wait to get back here and actually be able to spend an hour or two to look around and go through some of my larger lists that I need. But I'm telling you one thing is that this is going to be my go-to shop anytime I'm out in this area.

Great customer service. Pricing was decent in the selection. Was unbelievable... Never judge a book by with cover cuz this place...

Stopped in here today while running some errands to find some comics that Ive wanted to find for a while by one of my favorite childhood authors that ive had trouble locating.

Not long after entering I was asked if I needed help finding anything, and I relayed the books I was seeking after without a ton of information besides "Im pretty sure these exists and Im looking for them. " and the employee went above and beyond. She immediately knew what I was talking about and helped track down basically every issue ever from multiple runs in the series. She spent a lot of time helping me, explained things like finding alternate covers that I didnt even know existed ! Explained the differences in some and showed me a special book that had all the issues in it.

It was such a pleasant experience, Im by no means a comic shop connoisseur, but its hard to imagine it being much better than this. Extraordinary service, an amazing selection including thimgs like board games, and good pricing. Ill be making a habit of stopping by when Im in the area from now on if only just to look at whats new and out there. Thank you to the staff there...

Absolutely the best comic book store in Grand Rapids. The space is clean and well-organized, their selection of new and old titles is immense, and the customer service is second to none. Unlike some comic stores, there is positively no elitism or gatekeeping at The Comic Signal. If you're just starting to get into comics, the staff will point you in the direction of a number of good titles. If you're a veteran and want to discuss the finer subtleties of different artists/writers, they're able to do that as well. I really can't give this place a high enough recommendation. I brought my business to this store four years ago, and I've never once regretted it. Truly the comic experience everyone is...
