I went to the store first looking to see if they would want to buy my star wars kits. They told me when I went in if I wanted to sell anything I would have to bring them in person. So I brought the complete ones with all minifigs. At first I was told that the owners wife is very fair and might even offer higher than what I'm asking. They then wanted to know what I valued them at and I told them $1230. I knew I would not get that value because they need to make money but I was hoping for around 70%. My pricing comes from ebay and that is what they told me they also value them off of. I did my best to find the best average for the exact condition for each. The offer the owners wife came up with was 500 cash or 600 trade. I found this insane considering the mini figs in these kits alone go for around that if not a little more. So I countered and wanted to do a trade in witch the owner instantly turned down and would not even try and come up. She then told me how they are dusty and that her workers would have to take them home to clean them and that it would cost her money. I then asked how much more she would pay if I cleaned them myself and she said that it would not bring the value up at all. Insane that she tried to use that as a argument to decrease the value but when its reversed it does not matter. She also said that some of them she would not be able to get the value that ebay has it listed for. This is also just a lie to try and low ball me considering they overprice everything. This store just simply preys on people that have no knowledge of what they have or what they are looking to buy. What a awful business model. Do not sell anything at this store, they will severely undervalue it so they can get a ridiculous profit margin.
Edit for a reply to them. No set I was selling was worth hundreds. The most expensive was jabba's sail barge. Alone this is worth around $250 complete and they have 2 in store for $150 with no minifigs. Also there was absolutely no mention of a scratched minifig. Try and cover up and play victim all you want but your store is waste of time for anyone that wants a fair value of what they have. While I was there I also heard that the wife of the owner had taken items home to sell on ebay because "she can get more money". So do not try and claim that I miss valued items when you literally will sell the items on ebay, the place where I...

Read moreI'll start out by saying the negative reviews are from people who have no idea how the used resale market for Lego works, and that's their own fault. BCB cannot be faulted for the expectations of others, and eBay is not an accurate representation of "what sets are worth".
I stop here very time I'm in the area, which is about once a month. The staff is always incredibly helpful, courteous and pleasant. Their selection is amazing, from figures, to preowned, to retired sets. It is always the highlight of my work trips to the west coast! The prices for everything they offer is INDUSTRY STANDARD, which is what the market can bear. Check out bricks & minifigs if you...
