Sweet Roots Apparel — Local services in Plant City

I was so excited when Sweet Roots Apparel opened in our sweet little town—it felt like the perfect addition to Plant City life! The store itself is charming, and they carry a great selection of items that fit our small-town vibe.

BUT...... after multiple visits, I have to say my experience has gone from sweet to sour. Almost every time I’ve been there, the associates have been less than helpful. While they can be friendly at first, that kindness fades quickly if you need to make an exchange. The return policy is extremely strict—far more than what most people expect—and yet, it’s not clearly explained at the time of purchase. I understand that businesses have policies, but when they differ so much from the norm, they should be very clear upfront.

On top of that, the customer service doesn’t match the heart of Plant City. I’ve overheard associates having conversations that were inappropriate for a place of business, and at times, they come across as a little snooty. That’s just not who we are here. In Plant City, we are kind and full of grace, and we expect the businesses in our town to reflect that same spirit.

I know I’m not alone in this—many friends, coworkers, and family members have had the same frustrating experiences. I had every intention of supporting this shop long-term and spending more money there, but now? I won’t be spending another sweet penny at Sweet...

This boutique is exactly what Plant City needed! I don't go here just because they have a great variety of trendy clothing... the EXPERIENCE of shopping here is that of a high end luxury store. You're greeted, given the lay of the land, and when you try things on you get your very own hype squad! The staff go out of their way to make everyone feel so special, accepted, and drop dead gorgeous when you're in the store. The clothing is trendy, and set at a great price point. I loved that I was also able to get my husband something while shopping (y'know to distract him from everything else I had purchased, haha). The only complaint is hours, I would love to have them...
