My family has lived here just over a year and this place is amazing! Before we moved in, I was worried the apartments would be small with sketchy people around (because it’s low income) but it’s the complete opposite! The bedrooms are some of the biggest I’ve seen in an apartment, the master closet and laundry room are as big as the two bathrooms which are very well sized. The laundry room has a washer and dryer and about a 4 foot by 2 foot counter to fold clothes, iron, etc. The balcony is huge and comes with a small extra storage room! There’s no smoking inside but smoking on your balcony is allowed which is perfect for smokers and non-smokers. There’s a basketball court, playground, pool (no hot tub,) and plenty of grassy areas. Kid friendly and pet friendly! Not noisy at all! In most apartments I’ve been to, you can hear the neighbors but the only noise I’ve heard is kids playing in the middle of the day when my apartment is quiet or the occasional dryer running (also only when it’s quiet and you’re really listening.) Everyone is really good at following the “quiet hours” rules! The maintenance is amazing and has been extremely helpful! We had issues with our washer and Mike (the maintenance guy) came to fix it a couple times before figuring out it just needed to be replaced. Mike has also fixed our furnace and changed our light bulbs with no extra cost! Management is amazing and we’ve never had any problems with them. The neighbors are friendly and there’s a bunch of kids that play around the complex. The complex is right behind Macey’s and has an opening in the fence so you can’t walk directly to the store without walking on the busy road. I’ve never seen anyone doing drugs around and our neighbors always put their cigarettes out whenever I walk past with my baby. The only problem I’ve had is with little kids leaving trash all over the stairs after playing outside but it’s always cleaned up by the next day. They just had all of the cement outside power washed and the pool emptied and cleaned and refilled within a week. If you meet the income requirements, these apartments are the best for the price, size,...
Read moreAs a current resident of Greengrove I have to say, it's terrible. People smoke extremely close to the apartments (which isn't allowed, because second-hand smoke KILLS), and continue to do so after been given several reports against them. Which, despite this being a serious issue, management doesn't treat it like it and instead treats it like it's not a big deal, and just brush it off like it's nothing. And, it's extremely noisy. Kids play all day outside and scream, constantly, along with banging against the basketball shoots poles, not playing basketball, but hitting the poles with sticks. Not only that, but they run up and down the stairs playing and screaming, and leave their bikes and scooters around for people to trip on. Oh, did I also forget to mention they pick up dog poop and put it on your welcome mats? I've been threatened by a woman here for my service dog growling at her boyfriend, and have been told she didn't know what she'd do if my SERVICE dog did anything to her kids. My parents have been harassed by the same woman who smoked right next to the cars and purposely go next to their cars so that they're not able to pull out. They've also yelled at my parents after being told that they weren't allowed to smoke where they were smoking. People also don't know how to park. The woman in the parking stall next to us pulls over the line, and has kids that kick out the doors so it goes flinging into whatever car is beside that woman's. So, my mother has to pull extremely close to the poles, which resulted in my mom pulling too close and now having a dent in her car. This is a TERRIBLE place to live. I hate it here, go live somewhere else, for...
Read moreIt's the most affordable but that comes at a price. This company only allows people who make over 35K a year combined house hold income. Which is like one person working person at 15 an hour. That being said, they just recently raised the rents during COVID when we where all struggling already. So then there really isn't any point to only allowing people with that kind of income.
Also, they monopolize the internet. I pay $65 bucks a month for 15mps down! That's more expensive than anyone else in the area. I have never seen such outrageous prices for internet in this kind of city. We don't live in the middle of no where. I don't have any choice either. It's not like I can call up xfinity or Centrylink and ask them to come over because they don't allow it. This kind of crony capitalism is really disgusting. They claim to be for lower income people and then over charge you on internet. This freaking BS and they know it. They are making money hand over fist with this internet and it's just wrong.
Oh yeah, I forgot, they also shut down the pool during the summer because they "couldn't get the right part to fix it". My theory is it was too expensive to repair or they just didn't want to deal with the COVID regulations with the pool. This pool was one of the main reasons I wanted to get this place.
Luckily the people at the office are nice most of the time and they leave you alone for the most part. The apartments are nice and I really like the vaulted ceilings on the 3rd floor. But I wouldn't recommend this place to any...
