I’ve used Intereum for four projects, and the service has really gone down hill.

This last project was a mess from the start, with lag time at every turn, with nowhere to escalate my issues to. It took months to get through a fairly simple design process. Every single touch point was frustrating. The project managers were out for weeks at a time; seems like every time I emailed I got an OOO bounce back. They didn’t respect our timelines whatsoever, even when I made repeated attempts to communicate our frustration and displeasure, they just blamed others and even us as the customer. A main issue is they use designers as project and relationship managers. Even generating the official quote after* we made final selections took 2-3 WEEKS (isn’t there software that can automate the quote generation; seemed like the designer was in the wrong seat with no urgency or accountability).

After months in process before we could even submit an order, I finally spoke to a competitor who had a solution teed up for me within one week, but we chose Intereum on price, which was a mistake in retrospect.

So here I sit— paid and waiting. And waiting. I asked them to make it right and deliver stand-in furniture for free while we wait, but the designer blamed me and offered to lease us stuff. Designers just don’t make good relationship managers.
