Horrible customer service brought the kids in to see if they wanted a souvenir they had some toys my daughter went to go look at them and picked up a toys and this mean grouchy lady came flying over to her and started slamming the toys and proceeded to say how she hates children and all they do is touch everything. Umm ma'am they are children and u have toys. I then felt so uncomfortable shopping and her saying out loud they probably won't buy anything anyway just come in and touch everything. All she did was talk about us rudely. I will never go back in this store and use my money. I went down a couple stores and bought our souvenirs it's a shame too cause I spent quite a bit of money. But it's a little more restrained than the gift shops peddling rude slogans on T-shirts or plastic statuettes of dogs on cedar shingles raising their legs to pee into shotglasses. They peddle some nice souvenirs, sell decent fudge, and they've been selling salt water taffy for my entire lifetime at least ... although the handcranked taffy-making machine of my youth is long gone. The lady working instantly and harshly yelled at my 4 year old for giving a stuffed animal a hug that she wanted to get as a souvenir.
The lady yelled at her not to touch anything and put it back, but in the meanest possible words and tone.
If touching the merchandise - placed right at children’s eye level - is not allowed in a tourist gift shop, I don’t know how anyone is supposed to get the merchandise to the cash register to buy.
