I love the Kroger chain of stores. Their prices are great, their stores are clean, and I totally love their Kroger card...you scan it with your purchases and it keeps track of what you buy. You get points that can be redeemed at any Shell station for discounted gasoline. My favorite part is Kroger will analyze what items you frequently purchase and send you coupons in the mail for those items about every month or two. And they're not the run-of-the-mill buy 40 get 1 free coupons...they're actually useful, money-saving coupons. Having said all of that, the employees at this particular Kroger are some of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of giving my business to. The checkout children will make you wait while they finish their text message before acknowledging you, the wretched beast at the "service" desk enjoys ignoring you for several minutes while she finishes her social conversations, and the pharmacist must have been beaten as a child....she is just pure, unadulterated evil. You can literally smell an acrid lingering olfactory onslaught of sulfur and brimstone as this escaped demon crosses your unsuspecting path. I stood at the pharmacy window for 5 minutes while this cloven-hooved be-ast clomped around her pen....when I asked "Excuse me, am I at the right window to drop off a prescription?", she coughed an impish chortle and oozed "Yeah...." and proceeded to continue ignoring me. Not helping anyone else, not stocking the shelves with enemas and Vicodin....just simply taking pleasure in NOT assisting me. They're that good. Please don't hesitate to ask any employee, from floor sweeper to manager, for assistance. They'll drop all for you!
Issues with a receipt or coupon? Take it to customer service. They bend over backward to try & make things right. (For me, a few times they couldn't, but only because I misread the flyer or online.) If it's their error, they WILL fix it, and often far more generously than need be.
I you're disabled, they'll be happy to bring an electric cart out to you, load your car, & return the cart. Call the store before you leave home or when you get in the parking lot. Or, if you see an employee returning carts, you can ask for assistance.
Online coupons and weekly specials are the best around. I can't find any other store with better overall savings.

A note to those who find the new configurations confusing; this is to coincide with all Kroger's & affiliates. Now, when you enter any Kroger or affiliate, the layout will be similar to others. Better for inventory and traffic within stores.
I know a woman who shops in three different Kroger's/Owens stores. Now she's more comfortable finding what she needs.
Laundry, household, & pets are no longer in the middle of the store. but closer to dairy & deli.
Most stores keep maps or aisle info available upon request. Please...
   Read moreRecently did an online delivery. I authorized my order of just five items for around $80 total. It took around an hour, but I eventually got someone that started shopping. They marked two things as being out-of-stock and didn't even try to replace it. Whatever. They then checked out. Shortly after it said it was out for delivery. After waiting until 10 minutes after the expected delivery time, it marked as completed. I never received any of the items. Checked the receipt; a ton of other items were there and none of mine. It's like the person doing the delivery just did their own shopping, went home, and I got charged $197 for their own groceries. Trying to get help over the phone took 4 phone calls and their own chat basically tried to gaslight me into thinking I DID get my order and eventually stopped the chat. Stay far and away from Kroger if you're needing some sort of delivery service.
Update: Still no resolution despite having in writing that they would resolve this. They aren't interesting in making things right when something goes wrong and will charge you 2-3x your actual order total and hold onto that money. They've done it in my case and they will do...
