Planet Fitness — Local services in Plymouth

Price for black card membership and all the perks that come with it are great!! This includes the massage chairs, hydromassage beds, tanning beds (standup and lay down), and total body enhancement red light therapy. It’s cheaper for me to tan here monthly than a salon and love that. Bulbs don’t get changed as often though and lotion selection are cheap ones that wouldn’t buy at a salon because I would buy a higher quality lotion for higher price they just don’t have those types for sale here.

But my BIGGEST COMPLAINT now is that it is no longer 24 hours and this makes me so frustrated. I work a swing shift rotation (two 2nd shifts, two dayshifts, two off) and the gym only being open 24 Sunday-Wednesday does not help me because I might be able to get to gym in time on Thursday-Saturday because they close at 10PM and I don’t get off till 11PM on my 2nd shift days. So annoying. And then I can’t go before my dayshifts because I work at 7AM but they don’t reopen till 6AM and that doesn’t give me enough time to workout and tan and shower and get ready for work and get...

Was up in the area traveling and stopped here for a workout. To be honest I wasn’t expecting much looking at the exterior (it shares a strip mall with a Kroger), but it’s actually really nice on the inside. This may very well be the cleanest Planet Fitness location I have ever been to, between the workout spaces, mens locker room, and showers. Bonus, the mens lockers are all lined up against benches along the wall (rather than other locations that put benches awkwardly in the middle of the locker room)! I wish more PF locations (including my home planet fitness) were designed this way. My only gripe with this location is that the machines are somewhat tightly spaced and it’s a little claustrophobic, but the gym traffic was so light when I came here that it was inconsequential. I set up a membership To help a friend get into shape. It was an hour drive for me after work so I had to write a letter to cancel. They charged me the annual fee anyway. It took a month to get it back. Now after I have not been a member since September they charged me a monthly fee again!! I tried to call and always get nothing but the run around.
