My husband and I wanted to take our kids on our anniversary vacation. There was just one thing that was stopping us...our 1yr old pup who had never been away from us and because I wanted a home to actually come home too. I had looked on line and found PPL...I really liked what they had to offer and ended up booking our Jack w/ his own lil vacay. I called I think 6+ times the first 2 days and the care takers as well as staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Jack, can be a handful...hence the reason he needed to be w/ someone who would know how to deal with him. It took a good 1 1/2 days for him too finally make some friends and started being nice to the staff. Going to pick ,Jack, up I would have expected him to come running out and jump up one us and lick us, but he didn’t he was a Big Boy! He was Soo good when he walked out. Jack, is extremely active and can be very naughty but he’s my boy and I Love him so very much, but since we picked him up idk if he felt we abandoned him and so he will be an overly good boy now so we don’t ever leave him or if they taught him some manners....either way I am extremely great full and will most definitely be back if not for a stay for a bath and hair cut. Thank you to all the staff and care takers at PPL for giving me peace of mind so I could have a great vacation knowing our fur baby was in...
Read moreWe went in with our Australian shepherd to have him groomed, they showed me the lengths of cuts they do, they selected a comb that they said was really good for curly hair dogs, odd since he isn't a curly hair breed, I said we did not want him cut that short, but that was a good length to take off. Total taken off should have been about 1" overall and trimmed behind ears and legs to blend in. When we picked up our dog, they had shaved him to less than 1". I don't know how we got from take an inch off to shave him to less than an inch. After we got home we noticed that behind one ear hadn't been trimmed at all, literally had full length uncut hair still. The other ear had been trimmed. He had a 2 inch square on his chest that was longer than the rest of his hair by about half an inch and 1 of his 4 legs did not get trimmed at all, full length uncut hair still. It looked as if one person started the grooming, left, then another person took over and finished without knowing what they were doing. When we took our dog back in, their head groomer said that "sometimes the dogs stop cooperating during the cut and things get missed" no acknowledgment of the wrong cut being done in the first place. Or how 1 of 4 legs could be missed entirely. I'm not happy with how it turned out or the way they just blew off the...
Read moreI wouldn’t recommend Pocatello Pet Lodge, Too To board ANY LITTLE dog. They KILLED my little 4lb Yorkie when they took her outside and then left her Unattended with at least 2 dachshund’s each 4 times Her size. Those Two dogs were on top of her when They finally came back outside. They left it to Chance that multiple dogs left alone outside where No one could see or hear them would be ok. She died at the animal Hospital later that night.
To add insult to the whole thing They want to call it an accident. That’s NO accident. After I specifically told them she COULD NOT be out of Her kennel without supervision and COULD NOT go Out with bigger dogs because she WOULD get hurt. You wouldn’t think you would have to tell a business Such as this these things. They should already know That. The owner would like us to keep it quiet as not to hurt Her business but I feel the truth needs to be told so This doesn’t happen to someone else’s dog. I would feel Terrible if it happened AGAIN and people weren’t aware This COULD happen to them.
They need to own up to their mistakes and pay The consequences just as my poor little yorkie and my whole Family has. It’s left a hole in are hearts I don’t think will Ever be healed.
THANKS FOR THAT STEPHANIE ADAMS FOR NOT TRAINING YOUR PEOPLE ANY BETTER THEN...
