Prior to going to Olivers for my first time, I heard that they aren’t that good. However, I had a great experience. There’s a sign at the front door saying that this isn’t a fast food restaurant and that everything is made fresh. That sure is true. The food can take a while to be made, but everything is made in house. I went with a family member and they got the cheeseburger and you can tell that the burger was made fresh from ground beef and that the hamburger bun was made in house. The burger is huge! They said the burger was amazing. I may have to try their one pounder burger. They also said that the house cut french fries are especially good. I tried some of and indeed they were very good. I ordered the house club sandwich with onion rings. I was very impressed with the sandwich having lots of meat, the bacon and turkey. It was very filling and the onion rings were OK. They may have sat a little bit and weren’t very warm but they still tasted good. For my little man, we got him the French toast and sausage. I don’t think it was worth it for the price, but he enjoyed it and ate it all, so that’s what it matters the most. If you’re looking for a restaurant that makes everything in house and you’re not in a rush, or just want to spend time with who you’re dining with and chat. Oliver’s is the right place for you to eat at. I recommend...
Read moreMy boyfriend took me here saying he had been here previously many times in the past and that he thought it was very good. We went and the waitress was nice enough. We each ordered the turkey and stuffing dinner and were disappointed when it came out cold. I told the waitress who apologized and took them back to be heated. I'm assuming they stuck it in the microwave for a minute or so because they came back extremely quickly still cold with my baked potato not very warm either which I would have expected to be hot if they reheated it correctly. She quickly checked back as she walked to help a different table but it didn't feel sincere. I don't know if she had too many tables, if she was having a bad day or if for some reason she didn't really care. I finished my vegetable and took the rest home to go and seeing all my food on my plate she didn't ask again if everything was OK even though I asked for a box almost immediately. My poor boyfriend just ate his cold dinner! Neither of us were happy at all!! It did not make a positive first impression on me at all. We are talking about not trusting them to go back again. If we really thought we might have a different experience, we might give it another try. At this point, we would not recommend eating here to anyone. If I could I would give it zero stars and we...
Read moreI ordered the pork loin chop breakfast with eggs and hash browns, and a small side of French toast. When my order came out my plate had a puddle of grease under the hash browns and eggs. They were so soaked in old oil I couldn’t take more than one bite. The pork chop was extremely tough and lacked seasoning however, there was a strong after flavor of burnt grill top that has not been properly cleaned. I couldn’t finish my bite of the pork and had to discard it. My french toast tasted similar with the after notes of burnt grill top. My friend ordered the scrambled egg sandwich. The sandwich was very greasy and left excessive oil on hands and the bacon tasted old.The sandwich came out cold and was much smaller in portion than expected for the price.
As for the service, we did not get all of the drinks we ordered ( 1coffee, 2 ice waters and 1 juice). The coffee creamer containers were extremely sticky. Also my friends sandwich came with the wrong kind of cheese. Despite our clear dislike for the meals we were not offered different meals, or a chance to make our experience better. We also got ignored twice and the restaurant was not very busy and had 6 or more servers working.
I gave this a two star rating for my cup off coffee the two pieces of regular toast and the jam that I could...
