I'm going to give my point of view first arriving the people from the fish market started laughing out loud, I didn't know if they were referring to me, but since I didn't stop them, I kept going, I passed by again and they continued making fun of me, I played dumb, I arrived and paid at the register, the products that I was carrying and obviously we accept the child's food stamps and I was missing zero, 95 cents, I had enough balance to tell the girl that I had enough credit, on the card, she told me that if I didn't have zero, 95 cents that I couldn't take the products, the Latina girl and the other American girl and the other American girl started fighting with me over the same circumstance, I was in such an unpleasant moment For the others, they were watching me doing the math as if I were a thief, I felt so uncomfortable, I really wouldn't take any more time or go back to that place. I prefer to go to Walmart or any other place in Aldi, one of my favorites they respect me when I arrive, I don't have the 25 cents to pay for my cart and the cashier automatically lends it to me and I gladly return it, but at this supermarket the cashiers really have no education to receive customers and even less the supervisor had a very bad appearance in the physical sense, it is the way they treated me being Latina, but I will never feel less than anyone I went ahead I bought my products and I leave I want to clarify this because they were really asking me, it was also a donation where I never asked to donate, I told her, I will find the zero, 95 cents of such a donation and that is why they would not let me finish paying for my products, you have to be careful how they do it because automatically at the register they add a donation that you do not know what it came from that was my whole problem I had enough balance on my card, but apart from that the option to donate or donate money appeared there, at that moment they did not even want to explain to me What was it about, but they mistreated me a lot. Well, that gives me more experience to know that sometimes the places are very expensive and the products look of poor quality. Thank you, and that's my...
Read moreThis is a brand new Sprouts store built across the road from Solivita, the largest "over 55" gated community in the area. Rumor has it, originally Winn Dixie was slated for the location, but when Aldi acquired Winn Dixie the deal fell to the wayside, and I was disappointed because I am a Winn Dixie fan.
But like many of my fellow Solivita residents, I looked forward to having a supermarket so close to our community. So I gave Sprouts a try when it first opened, and I was surprised in a good way.
It is a clean, well run store with very good fresh produce, meats and fish. Yes, prices tend to be on the higher side, but not for everything, Many of Sprouts' prices are comparable to our local Aldi and Walmart such as eggs and bananas. But where Sprouts excels, besides its friendly and helpful staff, is the variety of products they stock, and the many harder-to-find items they sell.
For instance, I like to cook so when my son-in-law was coming for a visit and he asked if I could make him grilled swordfish, I was able to yes because Sprouts sell swordfish!
I also like making my own bread, and have been dying to make my own NY Style rye bread with a hard crust, but no local store carried rye flour until now--got a bag at Sprouts!
Will I do my everyday shopping at sprouts? No. Will I go there to pick up things on a regular basis? Yes!
In all, it is a great addition to our neighborhood. Many people I know will do their regular shopping there, and many will be like me...go there for particular items, or when I am too lazy to drive 15 minutes down the road to Aldi or Walmart. Sprouts may not be Winn Dixie, but I am happy...
Read moreI recently started shopping at Sprouts in Poinciana, and I have to say—it’s been a total game changer! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by vibrant, fresh produce and a wide selection of healthy food options that make eating clean both easy and exciting.
One of my absolute favorite sections is the coffee aisle—you can find everything from pre-packaged bags to beans you can grind yourself, and yes, they even carry mushroom coffee, which has truly been a heaven-sent addition to my routine.
Prices are fair, and the customer service is next-level. Employees are always checking in, offering genuine suggestions, and giving honest opinions on products. Just the other day, a cashier gifted me a reusable bag, and it made my day!
After years of shopping at Publix (and dealing with rude cashiers and unhelpful managers), I can say with confidence that Sprouts has earned my loyalty. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is respectful, and I feel good about what I’m putting in my cart—and my body.
Also, don’t sleep on their $5 sushi Wednesdays—the quality and flavor are unbelievable! And if you’re planning a quick and healthy dinner, their roasted Brussels sprouts, green beans, and seasoned rotisserie chicken are a perfect combo. Huge shoutout to the guy in the meat section who’s always attentive and willing to help—he makes shopping there even better.
Keep up the amazing work, Sprouts team! You’re what this...
