First Watch — Restaurant in Poinciana

We LOVE this place, and know they are just getting setup as a new location. Also love that during the pandemic the execs took less and everyone kept their jobs! Remarkable! That goes a long long way with me, and keeps me coming back over little days like today (as long as it does not become the norm).

However, today but they had a server that just could not handle his job. No ability to multitask. All the same old errors (ask us what we need, then go to another table before solving the problem, etc). People next to us got their food and drink before us, and the were seated much later than we were. We sat there, frying in the heat (I need to sit outdoors for health reasons). We had a simple order of iced coffee, iced tea, and oJ. Food also simple with one item for my wife and a muffin and potatoes for me. Nothing else. We got our food before any drinks (even water) was brought to the table. We asked two different times to two different servers, and our server only came back (twice) with excuses about why his drink lady could not make iced tea! Really, she was busy, we know! How about sone hustle? Ah, make it yourself buddy! This is NOT NORMAL. We have had nothing but praise for this chain, and have regularly been to all of them around Orlando. Glad we have one local. Hope management takes care of this...

I've been here twice since they opened. For lunch and then for breakfast just because it's close to home. The restaurant is clean, bright, and nicely decorated. Seating options are outside and inside at a booth tabke or bar. For lunch at 1:30, I was seated right away, and the service was prompt and professional. We had a Monterey Club sandwich with house soup and nicely roasted potatoes and a Turkey Burger. The potato portion was big enough to share. I didn't care for the all field green salad. It would have been more satisfying if mixed with a little bit of romaine. Otherwise, the portion size was good, and the food was tasty. Breakfast at 10:30 am was very busy but we were seated in a reasonable amount of time. The server came by promptly but then went mia after we said we needed time to make a decision. It was quite noisy, and I noticed a few flies. We ordered Pancakes Eggs Ham slice and waffle with Turkey sausage. The turkey sausage was overcooked. The ham was too dry and difficult to cut. The pancake and waffle were large and cooked right. No butter for the pancake 😕? They've only been open for a few days. Went to the new poinciana location for family/friends event for my birthday today I got the strawberry tres leches first of all not too sweet was amazing taste and flavor fresh my mom got the ham eggs Benedict the bread was perfect slightly toasty in the top but soft all over sauce was perfect punch and quality ham shaved very thin egg perfect and the breakfast potatoes were yummy without adding anything my sister got the avocado gluten free toast her service dog never alerted once to her eating anything cross contaminated so be advised they do have the options the bread was soft the avocado was loaded and the flavour was explosive definitely come visit them the food is fresh and amazing worth the extra money and our Server Abbie was amazing friendly and knowledgable she suggested things like the purple haze definitely try it so yummy and with our service dog she honoured her and helped us enjoy our entire time.
