I was so excited to try on dresses at FBM bridal after Iāve had a couple friends completely rave about this place. Unfortunately, that was definitely not my experience. Heather was extremely patient at my first appointment where I ended up saying āYesā to my dream dress back in July of 2024. She was very helpful, picked out so many gorgeous dresses for me that I would normally never even try on. It wasnāt until after purchasing my dress, that the communication went down the drain. She never answered emails and there was no other way to get in touch with her for months. I finally was able to speak with her and proceeded to pick up my dress in December. The day I picked up my dress, we also the placed an order for the veil and also a bow. I was also told sheād send the seamstress information that day to me, which she did not, even after sending another email to her. After April came around, I reached out to Heather asking about where the veil and bow were because a dress fitting was shortly approaching. She stated that she would reach back out to me after contacting the designers shipping facility. After a week of not hearing back, I sent ANOTHER follow up email stating that the lack of communication here is becoming disrespectful. She called me back 5 minutes later saying she didnāt like the shipping estimated delivery, which was set for June. she also stated how life was busy with ābaseballā and the holidayās. I completely under stand life is busy, I work two jobs myself, have a side business and also planning a wedding, but as a bridal shop owner, you should not have to have your brides reach out non-stop to get information about their orders. She claimed she then changed the shipping, to an āalready orderedā veil and bow, to expedited and all of a sudden both items appeared within the next 2 weeks (after originally placing the order 4 months prior). I ended up picking up both items, just to see they gave me the wrong veil! They thankfully had the veil I did order in the store, which again is interesting since I was waiting 4 months for this order (I have a feeling she never truly ordered it back in December like she was supposed to). There was another girl at the shop that day who was helpful. Heather apologized and ended up giving us a discount on the veil for our troubles. Itās a shame because itās a beautiful shop in the heart of point beach. My dress designer is only carried in her store and one other NJ store. itās doing the designer a disservice having her gowns in there with such...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience with the owner of the salon, Heather, after my original sale put a sour taste in my mouth. I shopped in summer 2023 during the Beccar trunk show. The dress I choose came with a detachable skirt. The sales associate reassured me that the skirt was inclusive in the price, along with the trunk show discount, she even wrote āskirt includedā on the āno refundsā contract that I was made to sign at time of sale. A week following this big purchase, Heather emailed me explaining that the sales associate was incorrect and that I owed over $900 for the skirt. I wrote back explaining that I could not afford this and that I triple checked, asking if the skirt was included in the price. Heather countered with asking me to pay the wholesale price of $400something. I was truly baffled by this counter. I couldnāt believe that the customer was being held responsible for this mistake and not the sales associate. The email chain ended with Heather offering to cover charges for the skirt after I expressed how unprofessional I felt this was going. Despite the āpositiveā outcome, I wanted nothing more to do with this salon. I couldnāt even āreturnā my dress because of their strict contract. So I sucked it up, picked up my dress when it arrived and got my accessories elsewhere. There is a huge disconnected between the owner and her staff. Be careful when...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wedding is in October 2026 - this was the first bridal shop I tried & I said yes to the dress!!
I want to start by saying Iām from New York. My family has a house in Manasquan & when I thought of looking for my wedding dress I wanted to avoid the BIG NYC bridal shops because Iāve heard too many stories of how the brides feel rushed and uncomfortable overall. I was actually visiting our shore house and came across this business on TikTok - the shop looked absolutely adorable so I decided to give it a shot. I made my appointment the following week for the upcoming weekend and got a response from Heather right away.
Walking into my appointment I was a little flustered because we were a few minutes late (Iām always early) and my mother and I brought my 6 month old son along. Heather was there to greet all of us with a smile and a bottle of champagne set up with my name on a sign welcoming me! Itās the little things for me that go a long way & i had a feeling right then and there this was going to be itā¦& it was!
This was the best experience i couldāve asked for. I was even able to bring my baby and enjoy it! Heather even wheeled him around the store when he was fussy for a minute š. Canāt recommend this shop enough! I never felt pressured into any type of style/add on purchase OR RUSHED....
