Cauldron & the Cupboard — Local services in Point Pleasant Beach

I prefer to give pretty thorough reviews so this is one that will evolve as i pay more visits. As of yet, I've only been here twice and although I've made some pretty decently sized purchases both times, i still don't feel I've experienced enough to be able to make a completely accurate review.

So far I've given 4 stars, mostly for the women that work there (the ones I've encountered at least) and because I was pleasantly surprised by how much stuff they have in such a small store. It's a VERY small store, BUT it's not cramped, which gave me even more of a reason to assume that they wouldn't have much but they sure did. The stones and herbs in particular have a VERY nice variety that i took FULL advantage of-as well as the awesome sale they had going at the time on the stones. Even bought a bunch for my mom when i brought her with me the second time i went.

There's very little you could want and not be able to get here.

I'm still a little unsure if how i feel about the prices as a whole, they seem to jump around a lot in terms of what you get/what you pay...that being said, they DO have a lot of very fair prices and a good amount of products that are a steal. I feel i over paid a bit on the tarot cards (they're all a little high in price) and the herbs would've been a good price if the bags they were in were filled sufficiently. They're pretty small as it is, don't open very well or with much space and they dont fill by weight they go by volume. So each person on the different days i went all kind of had their own ideas of how they should be filled and just eyed it. Only one of bags i got i felt was fair. Pretty disappointing but not the end of the world or a reason to effect my ENTIRE option of them. They did give me a very beautiful mojo type bag but a lot bigger. Had beading on it and i have a feeling they deliberately gave me the black one because i was wearing all black (like every other day) which i thought was really cool and thoughtful. And hey if it wasn't deliberate then maybe it was a gut feeling which is still just as cool. But they gave it to me for free to go with all the stones i bought for my mom and myself that day and because I'd spent a decent amount all together so that was pretty thoughtful too. The main woman ringing me up that day also commented on my healing which i hadn't mentioned at any point so again-pretty cool.

All in all, I obviously plan on shopping here again and so far the pros far outweigh the cons. I was and am still very happy with every item i did purchase regardless of price and can't wait to try out some of...

A couple of friends and I came into the store today (this was my first time) and to my surprise they had readings! I decided to wait for one and my friends were gracious enough to wait with me. While we were waiting and browsing the worker came up to us saying the owner is watching the cameras, accused us of stealing, and told us to empty our pockets or they are calling the cops. We willingly allowed our bags to get searched because we have nothing to hide. The whole situation was extremely off putting and I would never support this business again. I did get my reading done (Rachel was amazing) and we all separately made purchases because we genuinely liked the products in the store.

Looking back I wish we had told them to call the cops to prove them wrong, but as women in our 30s we were gobsmacked we were being accused of something like this.

I have been coming here for a couple years now, and they never seize to amaze me. At first it was just ang doing a candle and a reading for me and two years later I consider ang my mom and Sandra my nonni and cin my aunt. The store is practically another home to me. Ang, Cin, Sandra, and Jess have become my family, I could not ask for better people in my life. The readings are as accurate and insightful as you can get. They will always do there best to help anyone. Cauldron is not just a place for readings and to buy items( which are beautiful), it’s a safe haven, a little family. They care about the people who come into the store and treat them with open arms. It’s my favorite place to be! They are wonderful people and witches.
