New York Pickle & Company is truly a gem! When I visited, the owners and their family were there serving, and it made all the difference. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared about each customer’s experience. You could tell they’re passionate about what they do and about serving the community. The food was fresh and delicious—exactly what you'd hope for in a classic deli. I left with a smile and could not wait to go back!
recently visited New York Pickle & Company, and it was a major disappointment. (This was 2 times over the past 2 weeks )Not only were they out of pickles and tomatoes—at a place where you'd expect those to be fully stocked!—but the customer service was terrible. (The 1st time the second time the older guys scooter was there but he wasn’t ) but back to the 1st time An older employee behind the counter seemed totally indifferent, as if he "could care less" about helping anyone. When I asked if they would restock soon, he shrugged and barely acknowledged me. It felt like he was annoyed I even bothered to ask. For a place that’s supposed to pride itself on classic deli items, not having basic ingredients like pickles and tomatoes is unacceptable. And when you add in the rude staff who act like they're doing you a favor by being there, it’s clear they don’t care about their customers. I won’t be returning anytime soon.
It’s just not the same...
Read moreToday was my first time. I will be going back. The owners are super friendly and their pickles are delicious. You can try one or all. They really pack the containers too. Update, so it's been almost 2 weeks since I bought 4 containers and they are almost gone. I bought the red tomatoes and had them in sandwiches and salad. Made fried pickles with the garlic ones. The bread and butter never make it to a plate. I eat those right out of the container. And the half sours are still as delicious and crunchy as the day I got them. It's almost...
Read moreThe pickles are decent, but their pricing makes no sense. First of all, they raised their prices significantly from the photo another reviewer posted a few weeks ago. Half sours are .75 each or $17.50 per 1/2 gallon. I ordered a 1/2 gallon and there were 16 pickles in it. Do the math, $1 per pickle. If I purchased individually, it would have been $12 instead of $17.50. That is one expensive plastic container! Don’t like how they rip off customers buying in bulk so no more trips to NY...
