I really like this course! First, the owners and staff are REALLY NICE! They are friendly, accommodating (even when it’s busy), and genuinely want to give you a fun/good/positive experience. Second, the course itself is a little gem! Is it “long”? No. Does it need to be? No! Play from the tips if you want or need length. Play from the middle tees and you’ll have a blast! It’s fun, challenging, some very interesting holes, with (yes, really) some scenic views and elevation changes. Both the front and back nines have a combination of great par 3, 4, and 5s. Holes 14 and 15 are especially scenic and unique. You forget you’re in Pontiac… Third, it’s always in fantastic condition especially for a public/former municipal course. The greens are great, and overall it’s always in fine condition. Finally, it’s an outstanding value! Weekday rates are unbelievable and overall you get a big bang for your money. Put it all together and you’ll really enjoy your experience. Highly recommend

This course is a decent course to play if you don’t want to break the bank. Friday late morning round was $45 with a cart. It’s a short course with some of the holes close together. Be prepared for impatient or angry golfers. Last time I golfed here a golfer, who claimed he worked for the course, was being a bully and raising his voice to us about “proper golf etiquette”. Another time I played here the course was backed up and everyone was waiting on the tee box but a gentlemen behind us accused us of slow playing and felt the need to yell at us. I do like this course because is not that pricey and close to my house so I will continue to play here. If you are looking for more of a relaxing experience I would suggest spending the extra money on a course that’s more spread out.

Best value of the area and only $15 rental clubs. First course I’ve been on that is surrounded by barbed wire but guess that’s just Pontiac for you. For the most part it was well maintained. Also felt longer than it actually is. Some challenging holes with water. Beers in the clubhouse were cheap. I’d come back.

Ive golfed this course many times.. Ive scored this course as a 3 due to the fact that its a mixture of golf course styles and suitable skill levels.. Its more like a 2.5 for me and ill express why below..

The front 9 is across the street.. great front 9 and most the holes are surrounded with trees.. the only issue is have is all the HOOD houses and the G's banging their systems along the 3 hole (par 5).. once you get past that hole its back to normal.. with the ghetto just on the other side of the fence on hole 3 and a few on the back is why i grade this a 2.5 out of 3.. 1-4 are all in the same general area.. h2o and trees make it difficult.. 5-8 are just down the road.. they are hard if you dont place your shots correctly.. lots of wetlands..

the back 9 is by far my favorite.. h2o on just about every hole.. plus the island par 3 is awesome!!! the only down side the the back is the view of the hood.. it doesnt bother me any but i could see why people would not like it.. nothing worst than a crack head asking for money from the other side of the fence when your addressing your shot..

the prices are great and the staff is extremely helpful!! they take terrific care of the fairways and the greens.. most of the courses the advrage golfer goes to could have good green but the fairways are burnt/dead.. this course is great!! true reading greens and great for all skill levels..

I hope this information helps.. if you have not played this course you...

I've been eyeing this course for a while and finally got to play yesterday. Overall, I was surprised by the conditions of the course (in a good way). I would encourage everyone to play here if you're looking for an easy course that was not expensive. This was the lowest rate I've played in a LONG time. For those familiar with the Rochester(Oakland Charter Twp.) area, this was WAY BETTER than the Myth. Only a couple of the greens looked scraped up which you could argue came from irresponsible players driving their carts where they shouldn't be.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars was because I felt the holes were to one another. If you're playing the blue tees, some of them were within 10-20 years from the greens. I heard a few different groups on hole #15 having to yell "fore!" for those teeing off on hole #16. Depending on your skill level off the tee box, you may find your ball location in another fairway or too close to the previous tee tee box you just played at. If you slice (or hook for lefties) on hole #8, the group teeing off hole #7 may have to wait for you to play through.

In spite of everything feeling a little close to one another, I felt the the whole atmosphere was great. Each hole was pretty in its own way and the staff was nice. Even the players we ran into had the patience to wait as if they had the same understanding as I did being of everything...

My sister and father went to this course today with a 1:57 tee time. Unbeknownst to them there was also a high school league that was going on. However, that was not the issue that ruined the day. At one point, a very rude man with a ponytail drove up, asked them if they were part of the tournament and when they said they weren’t, were yelled at to go to back to the hole they were at (they had skipped the one because of how long the tournament was and were not going to go back). They had asked an individual (unsure whether it was staff or with the tournament) if they could just skip past, they were not given a definitive answer. If this man had explained that they couldn’t, they would’ve waited and played through. However, the ponytail man decided to have an attitude which was unnecessary and ruined the experience. In the future, it should be communicated that huge tournaments will be going on so such things can be planned for when other groups are playing on the course and such rude individuals should not be allowed to accost people on the course with such a...
