I’ve only been here about 6 times. Not all nail techs were bad. The one male that I had was very unprofessional. During my fill in he stayed on the phone (headset), at least 3 calls, he burned my nail bed several times with the elec. drill and with the manual filing after the acrylic he burned my nail bed AGAIN. This time he was so enthralled in someone else’s conversation, he had to look at them directly so he could “hear” better, totally forgetting the fact he was still actively sawing the nail file into the side of my thumb! He snapped out of it once I jerked my hand back. He filed three of my nails round on one corner, then square on the opposite free edge, when I reminded him that I wanted my nails square he said it was a $5 charge. That’s when I’d had enough. The manager played like he couldn’t speak good English when it was time to discuss an issue, so he pawned me off on an argumentative woman who insisted that the $5 charge for the shape “square square” was posted, that my nails were “square round” & it warranted $5 because "square square" is an unusual shape that they have to go out of their way to do. I told her 1) my nails were square when I walked in, 2) he kept rounding my corners the entire time, 3) “filing/shaping” the nails is a part of your service & is not complete without it, 4) square is a shape, round is a shape, “square square” is nonsense. Mind you, NOTHING is posted on the walls. When I asked her where was it posted, she walked up to the cash register and pointed to a small placard w/ a QR code on it. I didn’t ask for coffin shape, stiletto, dagger or whatever else is out there, I asked for a square shape & they’ve found a way to steal your money by nickel & diming your service & making you pay for things that should be standard. I’m not being cheap, it’s about principle…coming from a board certified cosmetologist, I’ve been trained in hair, skin, manicures & acrylic & aesthetician services. Needless to say, they won’t be seeing me again & you should be wary too. It’s these kind of Vietnamese shops that make the others look bad. 99% of them don’t even live in your city. They’re greedy, unreasonable, shiftless, indifferent and have attitudes like they despise your city & tolerate you just for your money. We should stop giving them our business until they realize that they...
Read moreI have made a handful of visits to this salon, mostly for pedicures. No issues or complaints for the pedicures. I do wish they would take a little more time on them though. I visited this salon again a few days ago and as expected, they were quite busy. I waited about 20 minutes to be attended to. I had gel x nails on (that were not done here), asked for a removal and a placement of a new acrylic set. The removal was done effectively and correctly. I showed an example picture of what I wanted done, they were coffin shaped nails with the color being natural white. First error I noticed was the tips that were used were way too small for my nail bed. The tech had to keep pushing them down because they kept popping up. They did not reach from sidewall to sidewall on my nail bed causing gaps to be made when the acrylic was laid. Once the acrylic was laid and it came time to perfect the shape of the acrylic, the tech cut EIGHT of my fingers! EIGHT! It doesn't take much to realize that you have cut a client as I was bleeding from all 8 fingers. The tech was aware as they had told me that they were sorry but they cut my fingers a bit. When I went to the register to pay, I was told it was going to be $110. I asked for $5 off because EIGHT of my fingers got cut. I shouldve asked for more of a discount. I was given a smirk and told SURE OK OK. $105. I still tipped the tech as well. 2 days later and my cuticles are swollen and sore with scabs. The scabs definitely complete the look, Bliss. I firmly believe that only a handful of the techs are licensed. There is no way that they are this comfortable being that rough and having a license. I will not be back to this salon and will not recommend them to anyone I know because it seems no matter what time of year or day it is, they want to get you in and out as quick as possible. This is a true chop shop. Staff shortage or not, it is your responsibility as a business to provide the best service possible to your PAYING clients; and when an issue emerges, it is also your responsibility to make it right. Not smirk and give an eyeroll making the client feel as if they're in the...
Read moreI really wanted to love this place, but today I hit my breaking point. I’ve had 4 back to back bad experiences and kept trying to give it a chance because it is a beautiful place and is so local to me. Vicky was phenomenal in helping me the one time I was overcharged $62 for dip…. When what I got was apparently supposed to be $52. I wasn’t even complaining about price but Vicky asked me why I didn’t want dip again and I said I couldn’t afford it and said I was charged $62 the previous time, plus tip! $75 total which is absolutely crazy for what I had done. She saw my nails since she was taking them off and knew right away that I was mischarged and let me know. So thank you Vicky! But on multiple occasions, I’ve asked the price and then when I get to checkout the price is different. Today I simply asked for dip and just one solid color. Was told it was $42. I made sure to ask again beforehand on purpose. I have my natural nail and already had almond shaped nails so I told the woman doing my nails to keep them the same. My friend next to me also did dip and got an accent color on her natural nails and had dip on before the appt. Her price $42, my price $47 and I didn’t realize until leaving, hence this review. It’s not even worth me going in and saying something. The inconsistency in nail service was a disappointment as well. My dip nails chipped days after and I’ve been knocked a few times but always tried to just brush it off. I am still giving bliss 4 stars but man… I am super bummed! I’ve never had this issue before going anywhere for my nails. And to top it off they charge an additional $8 if you want a manicure. I’d bore you with my other experiences, but i will just leave it at this. Unfortunately they have lost a customer. In response to the response from the owner, I already had almond shaped nails. Every time I went I had almond shaped nails and told them to keep them the same. I actually wanted my nails short too! They are my natural nail. Proving I was overcharged multiple times. That is the main issue here. The lack of consistency with being charged. Not so much the...
