★☆☆☆☆ — Five Guys Bloomfield MI: The Most Useless Ordering System in Fast Food History
I’ve ordered from this location multiple times before through the official Five Guys app—you know, the one that makes you think you’re dealing directly with the restaurant? Yeah, no. Apparently, they secretly subcontract delivery to DoorDash through their own app… without telling you, and with zero support if anything goes wrong.
I placed my order like usual. Got the confirmation, the tracking link, the estimated delivery—everything looked perfect. I even timed it with an upcoming appointment. I waited. And waited. Watched the tracking link. Then boom: my food is marked as delivered. Except—guess what? No food. No driver. No resolution.
I call the store directly, and they basically say: “Oh well. That’s DoorDash. We can’t help you.” Excuse me? I ordered through YOUR app. You took my money. And now you’re shrugging your shoulders because you chose a third-party service that can’t be reached when shit hits the fan?
There is no DoorDash contact info anywhere in the app. No help button. No escalation process. No accountability. Just a dead-end tracking link, an unhelpful store manager, and a stolen bag of food I paid for and never received.
So here I am: hungry, robbed, and completely ignored. Thanks for nothing.
If you can’t back up your own app, your own customer, or your own payment system, then why even pretend you’re a functioning business?

I was staying in Bloomfield Hills for work, I ended up working a 13 hours shift, by the time I got off and made it back to the hotel most restaurants were closed or closing. I seen their sign said open so I stopped in hoping to find something to eat for dinner, after finding several places closed, worried I would need to find something to eat at the hotel. I’ve worked in restaurants so I understand the end of the night, trying to clean and that last minute person walking in for food before closing. When I asked if they were still cooking the gentleman said yes, we’re open for 15 more minutes, he took my order with a smile and asked for here or to go. I was surprised he was so pleasant with being so late I told him I would take it to go to eat in my hotel room, he said don’t worry you can eat here. All 3 people were very nice, I took my food to go because I get it and just grateful for something to eat. My food was fresh, hot and delicious when I arrived back to the hotel. It was 2 gentlemen and a lady. Thank you for being friendly, cooking my dinner so late and being so welcoming to someone who arrived right before closing. Read moreI recently visited Five Guys with high hopes of indulging in a mouthwatering burger experience. Unfortunately, my visit left much to be desired.
Firstly, the food quality was underwhelming. Despite ordering their signature burger, I found the patty to be dry and overcooked, lacking the juicy tenderness that one expects from a quality burger. Additionally, the toppings seemed lackluster and failed to complement the overall flavor profile.
Moreover, the service left much to be desired. The staff appeared disinterested and inattentive, resulting in long wait times for both ordering and receiving our food. There was a noticeable lack of communication and coordination among the team, leading to a sense of frustration among patrons.
The ambiance of the restaurant was also disappointing. Combined with the lackluster food and service, the overall dining experience fell far short of expectations.
In conclusion, my experience was thoroughly disappointing. With subpar food quality, indifferent service, and lackluster ambiance, I cannot recommend this establishment to fellow burger enthusiasts.
