When I got engaged and had to get my ring sized I went to them. I have fat chubby fingers and I told the lady I needed to order a size 11. She told me to try on the sizer and told me I needed a 9.5. I told her that I know my hands and I really need an 11. I paid $142.00. I picked up my ring and it was really snug but I was naive and was just glad I could get it on my finger. It really became a problem but I couldn't afford to take it back to resize it again until recently 3 1/2 years later. The new jeweler I took it to measured my ring to ask me what size i wanted to go up to. I told him its an 11 now so i guess if thats an 11 then a 13 even. He looked at me in shock and told me i certainly didn't need to go up that large that it turns out she (the previous jeweler) decided to ignore my request and sized it to a 9.5 anyway!!!! So I just paid AGAIN to get it resized to an 11 literally half the price and guess what? It actually fits like it should have when I first paid them to size it. Shame on them for making decisions against...

My husband purchased a mother's ring for me which was designed by Whitworth's. They even thought ahead to add a place holder stone so when my last child gets married, I can swap that stone out for the appropriate birthstone. They are the only ones I let clean my rings as well. It's always kind of dangerous to my pocketbook when they are cleaning my rings because I always find something else that I can't live without. :-)
