Called in and spoke with a guy about an item I wanted to get a loan on. The gentleman told me over the phone he could get me âpretty closeâ to what I was looking for but would obviously need to see it in person. I drove over 3 hours to go to this specific shop solely because of the the discussion I had with them and they cut me at the legs as soon as I walked in the door. Guy said it was in poor cosmetic condition. Nothing more than normal wear and tear. Only thing close to dinged up is the REMOVABLE AFTERMARKET carbon fiber fender. They offered 60% under my ask. Apparently thatâs what âpretty closeâ means to these guys. 2700$ retail with the extras. 1800$ used easily. And I was offered 300$. Thatâs robbery. And the bait and switch is a shady tactic.
Edit: since I canât technically reply this is my my reply.
There was no crack down the center of the board. If youâre referring to the fender, that also was not cracked. The AFTERMARKET FENDER ($175) is dinged up. Itâs literally an EXTRA piece on top of the boards value to protect the board. Scratches are expected. I couldâve just brought the board with no fender since thatâs how it is when you buy it new.
The words âperfect conditionâ were never spoken but the words ânormal wear and tearâwere.
As I told the employee BOTH chargers, the home charger and the hyper charger, another extra add on ($210), were in my car. I didnât carry then in just in case something went south. Less to carry.
Your offer didnât even pay for the aftermarket...
Read moreI've sold quite a bit of gold and silver to e-z pawn over the years and have never had any issues in fact I have always felt that they paid the highest and have appreciated that I can stay in my vehicle while they appraise and weigh the items, that is until my last experience with them in which I sold 19.8 grams of 14k gold for 400 dollars. They had been crazy busy and were training a new person so I waited over an hour and was late for work so at the time even though I felt the amount was not what it should be I accepted it needing to get on my way to work. After speaking with a few other gold buyers locally about what they would pay for nearly 20 grams of 14k gold and after hearing what they said and doing research I found that the melt value was nearly 800 dollars while the retail value was nearly 3600 or more, what I sold was not scrap and I'm sure they will sell it for 10à what they paid me for it. After going to them for the last 2 almost 3 yrs. This is the first time I have felt taken advantage of by E-Z Pawn in my dealings with them. I will not be going back there again after this nor would I recommend...
Read moreI love this pawn shop. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and they are close to home. One of the employees, Matt, is a wealth of information when it comes to firearms and ballistics information for bullets. Additionally, my family appreciates the owner, Brian, for helping run the local archery range and for teaching the youth about archery. Thank you all for...
