KFC — Restaurant in Port Angeles

This particular location has its troubles. They need to definitely hire more people and/or replace ones who are repeatedly calling out. I've visited about 5 times in past few months sometimes for myself and other times picking up for doordash. 3 of those times I waited 45 minutes for the order. 2 times I arrived well before closing (like 3 hours) to find they closed the kfc side and only the taco bell side was open. Google consistently says that kfc is open as late as the taco bell but they actually close kfc an hour earlier. The times I mentioned that they closed early were at around 7pm. And they stated the closure was due to staffing issues. Time for new management or a retraining. They will lose business just like jack in the box in sequim...same issue and that place is never ever busy now. I often wonder if it's even open since its very vacant every day I drive by or stop in. I felt bad for the few people that were working those shifts. I could clearly see how frustrated and very overwhelmed they were. (People working those conditions continuously will not stick around) I was an assistant store manager for a popular Drugstore chain and worked there 20+ years. Once again this kfc was a big disappointment. I waited in the drive thru behind a car that had a huge order, only to find out there was no pot pie, and there was no CHICKEN. They said they were having trouble with their chicken orders. WHY did they even open if they can't serve what's on the menu? Since they didn't have that large order customer pull forward and wait in a parking spot out front, as a sane and normal solution that other restaurants use, I was trapped in that long drive thru and had to back down the long curving driveway to go down the street to Jack in the box. Thank goodness that other restaurant had their full menu. This kfc should lose its' franchise, it's a blot on the company's image and has been since I've lived in the area over 6 years ago. They often don't have items that are on the regular menu, never answer the phone, and should not stay in business. Against advice from locals, I tried this place with sub-par results. 2 visits ago, I received chicken that was burned and an incorrect side (ordered mac and cheese, received mashed potatos). Today, my Mac and cheese was burned (see picture, that is not gravy, that is burned mac n cheese) and they did not have enough crispy chicken to fill a 4 piece order. Usually, I like KFC but I will wait until Popeyes opens if I decide I want drive through chicken in Port Angeles again.

Final update. ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED! YOU ARE NOW REDUCED TO ONE STAR!! I was desperate for chicken so tried them one last time. August 3rd 7:45 PM, one car in drive through, 3 cars in parking lot. My greeting at the drive through was "you are looking at about a 30 minute wait". No thanks. 3rd time is a charm, no more Port Angeles KFC. Not sure what these people are doing but they definitely are not...
