My wife and were unpleasantly surprised after our recent visit to this location in Port Angeles, WA. A number of items were out, like chips, lettuce and more. Several staff were clearly flustered with one asking the manager, who was sitting at a table eating, what to do about the situation. The reply shocked me, without putting his fork down he replied that he managed the people, not the prep, it wasn't his problem. Other staff we're apologetic and trying to do the best that they could but everyone in the restaurant at the time witnessed the interaction.
At this point I looked around the restaurant more closely and noticed piles of empty boxes and packaging on the floor in back, that several of the containers of food contained items from other containers which could be a problem for those that might have allergies or other concerns and in general the area was not kept up as well as other locations of this franchise that we frequent.
We continued with our order anyway picking amongst the items that were available and left with our food. When we got to our hotel across the street and started eating it became clear that some of the items had been out for a while. It wasn't inedible but it's certainly not what we were used to getting from Chipotle and of course since a couple of things we usually get, like the lettuce, were missing that didn't help the experience.
The bottom line is that we won't be giving this location a second chance when we're back in the area. Because of the impression left by the manager and the lack of cleanliness that we observed, along with the food that we did get not being what we've come to expect from Chipotle, it's not worth it to us with so many other options available...
Read moreThe Chipotle in Port Angeles deserves serious recognition for how hard-working, loyal, and dedicated their team is. I stopped by recently and not only was the food absolutely delicious (perfectly made burrito and burrito bowl), but the staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service even under challenging circumstances.
They were operating cash-only at the time, which could have been stressful for any restaurant, but the team handled it with professionalism, patience, and kindness. Noune, Amanda, Colin, Johnathan, and Vanessa all deserve a shout-out—they were incredible! Each of them showed true dedication to their work, making sure every guest left satisfied despite the situation.
It’s rare to find a team this committed to both quality food and great customer service. Port Angeles is lucky to have this Chipotle crew, and I’ll definitely be...
Read moreI arrived at about 7:10 pm. There were 15 people on front of me. By the time I waited the 20 minutes or so to order, I was told they were out of multiple items by the guy making orders for dining room. I was frazzled as it was for some out of town guests. A young man who seemed like a shift lead or assistant manager immediately came up and apologized, explained that they had a large catering order not too long ago and that they weren't really out of one item, it was being cooked. He comped part of my food and was very pleasant. The food was good. I will say, the young man who stepped up really made the experience pleasant and successful when it felt like it was turning into a total flop. Hopefully they get some better trained people to work...
