JCPenney — Local services in Port Arthur

It pains me to even give 3 stars. I was shopping and while trying shoes on my daughter I thought I was in the way of an elderly lady so I said I'm sorry let us move. She said no she was just trying to find a size, so I asked her what size. I then proceeded to sort through the shoes trying to help her and we couldn't find it so I said they can check the back but I have been here over 10 minutes and no employees have come around. I then opened the curtain into the back stock room and yelled hello and waited...nothing. a minute later I saw an employee walking towards us, and I raised my hand, asking if we could get help and she kept walking by saying she doesn't work in shoes. I then ask her can you please radio someone to shoes and she said, " you can walk up to the front and ask the cashier" I asked her, "Can't you radio her???" I had an elderly lady I'm trying to help and a young child, why should I walk all the way to front of the store to get help??? I was disgusted with the behaviors of all employees in this JCP. I've worked for JCP for 10 years and I would never refuse trying to help a customer whether my "department" or not!! It was even worse when we went to front checkout to pick up online order and buy our items. Truly this is the worst customer treatment in ANY JCP I've been to around the country!! If I didn't have my children with me I would have requested a manager to discuss the lack of customer service. Not to mention nowhere in store could I find...

I used to really like JCPenny. Lately the store is unorganized and hard to find a cashier when you're ready to pay. The dressing rooms smell like urine and are always packed with clothes left by the customers. I've noticed a lack of good skirts and dresses, some dresses look either too matronly and cheap or sleazy. There seems to be a lack of good clothes to make outfits out of, it's a bunch of random things that don't match. Some of the dresses and skirts I've seen look like repeats from a couple years ago too. They now have a Sephora in the store which is a plus, and I do like their selection of jewelry....not all of it, but I usually find a nice piece at a good price. I had a great experience I wanted my hair dye and I was surprise because I didn't no they have a beauty salon in jcoenny's I enjoy the soft rinse water going through my scalp , I must admit I was nervous & biting my nails because the color turned out looking more Orange than honey bronze and they would not let me get out that chair until I was satisfied they used a lighter to get the color I request on there poster on the wall I pick out nice job well done the price ran 55 dollars cut and style & the smell of the hair products was very pleasant to my since of smell until I picked up the bill very reasonable for all, I have a low hair cut and they have this spray for natural hair it put curls in my natural hair no perms could leave this out...
