In January 202, my wife (110 lb.) and I (170 lb.) decided to replace our 7-year-old mattress since it had deep indentations, and the edges were giving away. We selected a queen size medium Beauty Rest Black #1 at Bacon’s Furniture where we have shopped many times in the past. The salesman assured us it was a solid product. We also decided to replace the 20-year-old mattress in our guest bedroom with the same product. After about a month our new mattress showed indentations, and the edges did not seem solid. After 6 months, the indentations and weaknesses on the edges were worse than the mattress it had replaced. The mattress in the guest bedroom had only been slept on for 30 nights but the last two guests confirmed that it also had very uncomfortable indentations. A representative of Bacon’s came to come to our home and confirmed there were indentations of over 1-inch and that the edges were collapsing. Bacon’s called us to advise that the indentations had to exceed 1 ½ inches in order to receive any compensation from Beauty Rest and Bacon’s did no offer compensation on mattresses, even if they were only 6 months old and seriously flawed. Based on this experience, I recommend that everyone avoid purchasing a Beauty Rest product and avoid shopping at Bacon’s Furniture if they expect any support for the product they are...
Read moreWe purchased two recliner back in March They gave us the floor model that did. Ot match the other recliner but we quick to order us another recliner. However we have had some issues recently with the quality of the fabric and how it is not holding up well and us showing a lot of stains etc. even after scotch guard as the recommended. We contacted the store and let them know what was going on . They sent out a technician to clean the recliners? Well one of them was worked on while nothing was done on the second chair . However the product did nothing and the chairs still look bad. Upon response Mr Bacon has refused to assist. He did offer for us to come in and by something else and he would give us a discount over the sales they were having.
I have explained this is not we would like and that his response is not good customer Service and is not acceptable. So today we went out and bought a cleaner at our own expense to see if it really stain/ cleaning issue or just bad quality fabric. We have asked formthe manufacture information and the warrenty information and have not received any additional responses . Poor customer...
Read moreWe purchased a Canadel dining table and chairs 1 year ago for a house we had just built. We were told by numerous people including our design consultant that this brand of furniture was of the highest quality which is reflected in it’s price.
About a month after delivery the sealed wood tabletop developed a disfiguration from something being placed on it, not really sure what the cause is. We had purchased the protection package and made a claim.
The Warranty Company denied the claim because we were uncertain how it happened, really?? Never heard that the cause (not abuse) was more important than the damage itself.
We contacted Bacon’s by phone and in person and they agreed that was the dumbest thing they had heard and agreed to pressure the Warranty Company to stand behind their product.
1 home visit for inspection, 4 phone calls and 1 year later nothing has changed.
After spending several thousand dollars on furniture we would have expected better customer service and the business standing behind the products and services they offer.
At this time we cannot recommend Bacon’s based on...
