This is in reply to a response from the store to a review that my husband posted earlier.
Sorry, Mr. Marsh, but your response is not based on facts. The "hard date" that you insist never existed is a direct quote from the employee that I spoke to on 9/6. If there never was a hard date, she shouldn't have said that there was. And I did not interpret this as two weeks to the store; I understood it as two weeks to be shipped. That, however, did not happen. When I called on 9/23, the bench still had not shipped.
To be clear, I was in no hurry to receive this bench. I wouldn't have cared if it took six months to arrive. I simply got tired of the constant promises that were never realized. The bench that I was told on July 23rd would be delivered in two to three weeks had still not shipped two months later. I just wasn't interested in continuing this farce any longer.
As far as "civilized scenarios" are concerned, the employee that I spoke to on the 23rd would not let me finish a sentence and talked over me constantly. She was not listening to my concerns because she was too interested in rebutting my statements. Perhaps her assessment of my "lack of humanity" is a result of my refusing to be bullied.
There is no need for your suggestion that we refrain from doing business with you in the future. I have no desire to repeat...

We ordered a bench on 7/23 and told that it would be in, in 2-3 weeks, which surprised us since typically a 9 month wait for furniture is not unusual. we were told that this was not like all other furniture, that they get these shipments in all the time and that it would just go on the next truck. We had discussed, as suggested by the sales person, that the fabric on the bench top was bland and should be changed, so we went out and spent about $100 on replacement fabric. When the bench did not arrive by 8/25, my wife contacted them and was told that it would be shipping shortly. When we had heard nothing by 9/6 my wife called again. This time she was told that it would ship in 2 weeks (hard date). Today, more than 2 weeks later, she was told that it had not shipped, and that the employee who promised that it would was wrong. We cancelled the order and they are refunding our deposit but WILL NOT consider refunding the $100 that we spent on fabric, which I would gladly turn over to them to promise to the next unsuspecting customer.
