This museum such a cute and fun places for your toddler. The summer hours are on the website. Weekends in the morning are for members and if you arent a member you must submit a reservation for the afternoon. There is free parking in the front and on the side of the building. When you walk in, you do have yo fill out a form if it is your first time there. I suggest leaving strollers in the car as there is only space for 2 strollers in the stroller parking area. The fee is $7 per person above the age of 1, and $3 if you have EBT/WIC.
This place is massive. I didnt even get to see all of it because my kids did not want to go up the ramp area. They have a koi fish pond and other reptiles/fish and a turtle tank. They have a giant sand desk. They have two tables with little gems and magnatiles. There is a giant lego area, and a small lego area to build cars for the ramp. There is a giant water tank where you can play with a raincoat. If you go up the ramp, there is a lot of little "store" areas. We saw a pirate ship and a sam's club. They have an area for 2 and under but they require shoes to be off and my kids have inserts so they cant take them off. Overall, this was such a fun area. They even have a seating area to eat food/snacks at tables. We will...
Read moreReally enjoyed our visit today. I've been to the flint childrens museum, and although that one is bigger, this one is way better! Also only $7 per ticket is Extremely generous and reasonable! We spent 3.5 hours here. Quality over quantity! Extremely clean and well thought out. I'm serious. Employees going around switching out clean toys constantly and keeping it organized. I went with my 10 year old and 4 year old. Although my 10 year old was a bit too old she still enjoyed playing with her younger sister. This place is perfect for ages 1-9 or even a 10-12 year old having to tag along and play with younger sibling. There was a quiet spot for babies and toddlers for just those 2 and under. With a no shoe rule in there and clean soft carpet. We went during the weekday. Im sure it may be a little crowded on the weekend and may be a different experience. But today on a Friday during the day it was not crowded and easy to go to another area if it does get more crowded and come back. They have lockers for your stuff. And a designated area where you are allowed to have a snack. Really appreciate that to stay on a small budget outing. The koi pond in the middle was super cool. We will be back! So much to say. A lot of thought was put...
Read moreFriendly faces greet you at the door at Discovery City and invite you into a full sensory experience. Geared toward children under the age of ten, but also offering a special section just for kiddos 2 and under, children of all ages are encouraged to immerse themselves in imaginary play, while learning about the world around them in a safe space built just for them. Representing a wide range of interests, there is so much to explore (and discover 😉) that my son was already asking to come back again soon before we had even left. He'll be 9 in a couple days and is even asking to come spend his birthday there, which is something they also offer. There are wall hooks and lockers with keys available for securely storing your coats/gear and a spacious area with tables and chairs to bring your snacks and drinks. With walk-in availability and affordable rates on a daily or yearly membership basis, and a discount for EBT card holders, Discovery City is a great place for families looking to have some fun together. Ps. Stay tuned for the new Bank Center coming soon, I can't wait to tell you about the exciting new ways to play they have...
