K's Jewelry & Beads — Local services in Port Isabel

Went because I love shopping local... next door the service was wonderful... I was expecting the same but was sadly disappointed. I was ignored while I stood in line to pay while the owner was chatting. No big deal right.. I'm on vacation and literally have all day so my daughter and I were patient. But what happened when she finally got to me was appalling. She (the owner) wanted me to pay in cash (I explained I wanted to keep my cash for beach purposes) she argued that they take credit cards on the beach. When she realized that I wasn't going to give in she then started being sarcastic with me saying "oh you have a pin too, (sigh) well what is it?" When I said I would prefer to enter it myself she huffed and said "well your gonna have to come around then" (so exasperated like) ... she then proceeded to talk with the person she was chatting with before and made comments like "you better have cash when they come to my store" and "do you know how much they charge me per transaction?!" The lady she was taking to was trying her hardest to diffuse the situation by saying things like no one carries cash anymore.. a debit card is cash for people. Bless her heart she was so sweet. But the owner.... whew.. I have never been treated like that at a store at South Padre Island ever! I go all the time even in off season and I will never return...

A Summer Tradition We Love

We’ve been coming to K’s Jewelry for years—it’s become a tradition every time we visit the island. My daughters always get hair wraps, and we never leave without picking up some beautiful, high-quality jewelry.

Mary is always wonderful, and now with her daughter helping, it’s even more of a joy to visit. The new location is a big win for Port Isabel. It’s such a lovely area to walk around, shop, and grab some ice cream. K’s Jewelry continues to be one of our favorite stops—a truly special...

Got my hair wrap here today and the girls were all so sweet. The wait time was a bit long but totally worth it. She did amazing and I love how it came out. Was cool and fun that you could pick out your own strings and charm!

Women at the check out was also super sweet. Very neat store. If you need a hair wrap check this place out! I loved the location as well. So many cute shops around.
