If it all possible, I would give this Home Depot a -5 stars for professional issues and pure customer service or the lack of we rented a flatbed truck from this particular Home Depot and the service desk. Person looked at the other service desk person and said here can you go locate this truck, wink wink and by the time we got into the truck it had been so heavily bombed with air freshener that we had to drive with the windows down for the first hour and a half Then, after the air freshener subsided, there was a awful stink as if somebody had died in the vehicle and was still left decomposing in it. Later on that evening, we had parked a truck and my husband took his lunch bag out of the front of the truck and came inside as he does normally when he gets off of work my daughter shouts bugs and all of a sudden we had tiny little roaches crawling all over the place That was coming from his Arctic lunch bag then my husband went outside to the truck to see if the bugs was coming from the truck and shine behind the seats of this vehicle that he had rented and sure enough there were thousands of cockroaches in that vehicle Along with dead crabs, people’s old rappers from their drive-through foods and whatever else that was decomposing in that vehicle, we took tons of pictures and we actually had to throw away my husband‘s lunchbox his straps and that lunchbox was a $75 lunchbox. Home Depot says well tell you right now that’s not gonna get replaced but will do what we can to give you a refund for the truck rental so everything that we had to throw away all the money that we spent for a professional bug service company to come out and bomb our house with is up in the air. Not only have we experienced this horrible issue, but I am severely traumatized by the whole situation. I just recently found out that I have an autoimmune deficiency and now having to get chemicals sprayed in my entire house, which makes me have to sit out of the house for a few hours is extremely counterproductive on the day that I have had a full book. I also now have to take time off of work time away from my kids to fix this issue that Home Depot seems to just brush off their shoulders, as if it’s an inconvenience to them because they rented out an infested truck that they were fully and well aware of knowing it was not in the state to be rented. I am leaving this review in hopes that nobody else has to go through this experience. Just two photos of the condition of the truck with the dead crab I have a ton more can upload...
Read moreCame in today like always do usually 2 to 3 times a day being a handyman by trade Today, I actually was stopped at the register by a cashier named Regina and was tild I was not alliwed tobuse the home depot charge card that I have been uaing for over a year now due to the fact is was in my boss' name and not mine. Granted, I appreciate the extra security but we arent done yet After making a deliberate issue Ms.Regina decided to go and talk about amongst her coworkers. After I saw this I quickly told ger this is not a gossiping issue and instead of talking amongst coworkers that she needed to grab a manager. Waiting for the manager, already fuming just for the pure fact of purchasing material has turned into a wasteless time and now an issue that never had to be. The manager Craig took me to the prodesk and talked to a Leah and had her assist me. After he left I waited again, even longer to see Leah and check out. As soon as I saw her she quickly told me there was nothing she could do and dismissed me. Being even more frustrated and felt like this was now a petty game of bulkying a customer, i left and went to Lowe's. During my shopping I had discussed the issue with my boss and they quickly called Home depot and cleared the issue with the card. I was asked to go back, again, after 2 hours of grief and re purchase the material I needed. Amazingly enough, Leah was nice and apologetic and was all of a sudden able to answer and help me with all my requests. Why I went through this chaos of terrible customer service and hen cackling rudeness instead of just letting me purchase the materials like I always do. Hope no one has to go through this craziness...
Read moreThis is a great Home Depot. The staff are very helpful. I do a lot of DIY and woodworking projects and generally can get a lot of what I need from this store.
Here are a few things I shop for at this store:
Wood: This store has a good selection of varying grades of boards. I prefer their selection of Select Pine over their blue counterpart. As with any lumber, you need to inspect each piece for warping, but I find that this store has a fairly straight supply.
I don't like that their builder grade materials like 2x4s are generally wet. I know this helps reduce warping, but items marked as kiln dried shouldn't feel wet to the touch.
They also carry some hardwoods like walnut and red oak, but it's very expensive. I recommend going to a real lumber supplier or saw mill for high grade hardwoods.
Plywood: Unlike the local 'blue' counterpart down the street, this store carries a wide variety of plywood, including birch, sande, and red oak. It's competitively priced and usually free of defects and warping. Their plywood is very dry.
Tools: This store has a great open tool area. It's well organized and easy to find what I'm looking for. I like that both power tools and hand tools are located in the same area.
Hardware: They have a decent selection of hardware like screws, nuts, bolts, etc.
Plumbing: They have an entire aisle dedicated to plumbing and even carry some odd sizes such as 2 1/2" PVC.
Paint: Their paint department has very skilled staff and they've assisted me on several occasions color matching materials. They carry a wide variety of paints and stains along with a good selection of...
