Let's start with saying that the food and server were amazing and that this is no way thier fault. We made a reservation for 6pm for my mothers birthday. We arrived at 5.50 and we're told our reserved table was still occupied and that it would be around 20-30 more minutes. That quickly turned into just over 1 hr. It's 7.15 now, and we are seated at a large section for our group of 16 (now only 10 because some left after 1 hr of additional wait). Our hostess, looking at the empty seats said, "oh, is ur party not all here yet" to which my wife responded, " they left after waiting 1 hr". She honestly looked confused and didn't know what to do with herself. She attempted to take the menus and from the empty seats. By the looks, bring an additionl group to our section. Thankfully, i saw the manager talking to her and stopped this immediately. He probably understood that, yes its a business, but that would be just rude of their part. Our server took our orders and sushi appetizer. Food was quickly and amazingly cooked. We were treated well as if they were honestly trying to make up for thier mistake. My child was a bit scared and even asked for an egg, to which the cook happily cooked for him, after he charged the additional fee (this really threw me off after waiting 1 hr and 25 min for our reserved table). At this point the food was decent but we were almost done and still no sushi. Keep in mind it was the first items ordered. We decided to give them another chance and wait since we were still eating. We waited 10 min, our waiter said sorry about the continued inconvenience but they are are backed up at the sushi bar. ( Im thinking we ordered over an hour ago!). We waited an additional 15 min, at which point we were already given our to go boxes. They really wanted to turn the table around on us and get another group in as quickly as they could. Aniother 10 min go by at which point me and my brother called it, and still waited more to get someones attention. After another 5 min we asked the kind hostess to cancel the sushi to which she responded to, "oh, let me go check on it". I stopped her before she could rush off and again kindly said please, I didnt want her to check on it, but to cancel the order. 10 min later did we see our server come with a plate full of sushi just for us. I could see the host and manager from around the corner seeing if we would take it. ( I honestly believe they forced my waiter to attempt serving it to us, even after he and everyone else knew we had canceled it). Again, it wasn't the servers fault. We told him, I'm sorry but it's been well over an 1 hr and 30 min at this time since we ordered, we just don't want them, just the bill please. Even the waiter seemed releived that we didnt take it. After that, the hostess came with 2 reciepts to confirm changes. Yes the receiepts were printed nearly 25 min apart, this lettting me know that they really were trying to get us to take the sushi. At the end of the night, we waited 1 hr and 25 min for our reservation, and almost 1hr and 30min for our sushi. Arrived at 5.50pm, left around 8.45 pm. Again, don't let this discourage you from going. I just believe the situation could have been handled better on...

I was in Daytona Beach visiting family, and I had found some restaurants I might want to try while in town. Ginza was on my list. We ended up here for dinner on a Saturday night, and I am sure glad we did! The restaurant was quite busy, but thankfully, we got seated right away before it got real crazy.

The restaurant has hibachi and sushi, but we were doing sushi that night. We started with the edamame and fried gyoza. All was great. The gyoza and the sauce it came with was so delicious I got an order to go. Also, usually gyoza comes with 5 dumplings which can be annoying when sharing, but theirs came with 6 and was very much appreciated!

My daughter got the California roll and loved it, and I can’t remember the name of the roll I got but WOW!! I looked online, but it’s not on the menu. They had this picture book and other rolls on another menu not reflected online. It had spicy tuna, cream cheese, and avocado, and light rice wrapped with the skinniest yet longest piece of tuna. I had mine made with soy paper, and in my opinion, it changes the taste in all rolls for the better. I have to say I think this is my most favorite roll I have ever had. There was a light wasabi sauce and maybe eel sauce under the roll on the plate. The presentation….. Show Stopper!!! It was an absolutely beautiful plate! I was so pleased.

Overall our service was good. It started off great, but then our waiter got sat three tables back to back after us (one of which was a party of 8) so he was quite busy. For that reason, we were never checked on to see if our food was good until we were done and our refills lacked, but the food made up for that. I could see what was going on so that did not affect my rating. I have no doubt things would’ve been different if all those tables weren’t sat back to back.

The ambience is beautiful and modern. There is this gorgeous light fixture that changes colors I could stare at from where I was sitting. I captured it in my favorite color pink. Love!! The attention to detail was in everything from the appearance inside to the plates we ordered.

I will definitely be back when I am in town! Oh how I miss...

Dine here often, yet the past couple of times we have had the worst server! “Hunter” I believe is his name, seems like he would rather be anywhere but working. He is too fast gets an attitude if you have a question on specific item on menu, doesn’t ask if you would like the ginger dressing or ranch for salad. We had a table with 4 kids 2 from another family and he brought everyone ginger salads and when we asked for ranch dressing instead for the kids after salads were already delivered he responded with, “yes, but you are going to have to give me a min, so it might be a while.” We asked for chop sticks and he runs back and throws them at the table turns around without a moment for us to ask for anything else. If he could just slow down for a moment he could take out requests and come back to the table once instead of back and forth back and forth. I get everyone has a bad night, but this has been an on going event every time with this one. (Also, this was Mother’s Day) a special event for our little family. He stopped and told us we were rude when we asked if he could just not take our appetizers away while we were still eating them.

The final straw was when he added 20% automatic gratuity on our family’s meal when we had a party of 5 when the menu clearly states “party of 6 or more its auto gratuity”. (He knew what he was doing when he realized we weren’t happy with HIS service.) We are great tippers I have been in service industry for a loooonnngggg time, I over tip my servers and my family and I are very understanding when it comes to how restaurants work because of this. But his actions and remarks made our experience very unpleasant especially on Mother’s Day!

For the restaurant it’s self we are always pleased with the food and the entertainment...

This restaurant is over-the-top AMAZING!!! Gorgeous, creative lighting everywhere, enthusiastic, VERY good chefs, & efficient, friendly wait staff. Hunter was our hibachi table's waiter. Both our young chef and Hunter did a great job taking care of our party of 7. In our group, 3 young boys (5, 7, & 9) experienced hibachi for the first time. It was thrilling to see their wide eyes and hear their squeals and explanations when the fire erupted! The chef tossed zucchini cubes for each of us to catch in our mouths. (We pretty much missed them all!) The boys REALLY liked it when the little fireman boy put out the fire.😄 And the food...!!!!! We think it's probably one of the best hibachi meals we've ever eaten! Cooked to tender, delectable deliciousness, the fried rice, noodles, veggies, teriyaki chicken, & filet mignon were outstanding! The soup and salad before our hibachi food was also tasty. The soup was superior to any I've ever eaten at the many Japanese steakhouse I've tried.

Ginza.. where do I really even start. Everything I've gotten here is beyond amazing. And I love it's right by my boyfriends house. I had shrimp and scallop hibachi. My boyfriend had Chicken Pad Thai and he ordered a sushi roll that had eel and eel sauce. I've always loved eel sauce. I've never tried actual eel on a sushi roll before in my life. I'm about to eat the rest of said roll bc it was amazing. I will definitely order that again. Maybe dreaming about it for weeks before I have to go back, because who doesn't like good food?! Ginza employees YOU ROCK SOCKS. Cooler than Betty White. Or maybe not Betty. Because she is literally is in a class of her own. Gunza is mor like heaven.. I work in the service industry. It's great to see these small business thrive. And because they put in so much effort and clearly love into all they do, and E every dish they provide. Great Job Ginza. You made my ending to my day so very much worth it. Thank you for being you. ❤🔥
