I've been coming to Cinnamon Tree Cafe consistently since moving to the area 6 years ago. It used to be my absolute favorite place in the area - the food and drinks were always great, staff was always attentive and kind, the atmosphere was a little busy but in a nice productive way. I would've given a 5 star review all the way up until this year. My original review was: "Wow.. truly the best breakfast food I've ever had. Coffees, pastries, crepes, potato bowls, breakfast sandwiches - they're all amazing"
However, the last 3-4 times I've been to Cinnamon Tree Cafe, the service has gotten significantly worse, the food has been hit or miss, and the atmosphere is off. No matter how busy they were in the past, staff was always smiling and attentive and the tables were always bussed quickly. Now, it's rare to see a staff member smile/be friendly, the atmosphere is much more noisy and bustling - rather than just busy. Today (3/7/2025) the food was actually bad. The pancake was almost inedible, and the hot potato bowl didn't taste fresh and made me incredibly sick. When you're paying premium prices, the standards for service, food, and atmosphere are higher, and unfortunately Cinnamon Tree Cafe has not been up to that...
Read moreI went there this morning and unfortunately didn't try their food. if you have social distancing concerns, avoid this place. There were none in practice. people stood 10 deep in the line from the place you order to the door. When i tried to keep space in front of me, 2 ladies just cut in front of me and others came in behind me right on my back, of course,no masks (employees did have mask on). The line did not move fast at all. The place is tight inside for seating as well as when people finished eating leave. There is virtually no distance between the line coming in and those leaving. Some people like to stay away from their table and talk before they leave, so it all just blends together.
So, I left. Went to First Watch where they do an excellent job of making you feel like they get it.
The management and staff of Cinnamon Tree should pay better attention to the customer environment, especially in light of recent events. Florida is the new hot spot for this disease. No wonder when places like this don't appear to take it seriously. I'm a 20 year resident of Port Orange. Never tried this place, was excited to do so, wont be going back...even after this...
Read moreThis morning we went to my favorite breakfast place in all of Port Orange/Daytona Beach - The Cinnamon Tree CafĂ©. Iâve been going there for breakfast and brunch since they opened many years ago, and I remain just as impressed with them today, as I was on my very first visit. The service is always excellent, with professional, polite, staff neatly dressed in uniform and always ready to help you make the best choice for your meal. Everything is made from scratch in the store, including all the beautiful pastries which include biscoff blondies, blueberry cheesecake, coffee cake, lemon bars, and so much more. The crepeâs menu is extensive and caters to every taste, prices are very fair, and thereâs great seating inside, or out under market umbrellas. This place is a true treasure for our town. If you havenât tried them already, I would encourage you to go and spoil yourself and your loved ones, you wonât regret it. Cheers! PS: UPDATE 10-29-24 - stopped by for breakfast again, the food is still so very good. Prices have gone up a bit though, but still well worth it, as their crĂȘpes are big enough for two meals....
