Looks can be deceiving. This place may look great, but the service was horrible. For the record, this was our third and final time at this business. I made an appointment the day before for my mom. They sent me a confirmation text. The next morning, we arrived for our appointment time of 12:30. I dropped off my mom and found a parking spot to wait for her. She came back out after just a few minutes and said they told her she was an hour early for her appointment. Assuming, that I had the wrong time, I said, well, letās just go ahead and get lunch. Once we sat down for lunch, I got out my phone and looked. Turns out that we were correct after all and our appointment really was 12:30. They were actually in the wrong, so I said well, letās just enjoy our lunch and then head back over. While we were sitting there, I received a text that said she was a no-show. Well, now Iām highly upset. We were actually on time and ready for her appointment, but now sheās a āno-showā. When we returned, I went in with her, and told them not only was she on time for her appointment at 12:30, but she was told that she was an hour early. The manager and another employee were looking at the computer screen, and he admitted that it was his fault. Iām not sure exactly what happened on their end, but he apologized and said it was his fault. Now, instead of getting her in right away, they tell us that they can get her in an hour later at 2:30. I told him, no, you will get her in now, because initially we were here on time and she should not have to wait. He told me the best he could do was at 2:00. I said, OK, so someone can do her nails at 2:00? He said, yes, I said OK, and I turned around and walked out the door. I knew if I stayed any longer, I was going to say something really stupid. My mom and I got in the car to wait and cool off. He ran back out and told us that he found someone that could do her nails now and we could come back in. (This, in fact, was not true. She ended up waiting until 2:30.) My mom went back in, but I waited in the car. She said that when she went back in everyone was staring at her. When she was sitting down and waiting, one nail technician in particular, turned around, pointed at her, and his client just stared at my mom. Not one person smiled at my mom or tried to make her feel comfortable. She felt very uncomfortable and does not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreItās strange to think that 9 of your technicians would literally get up and just leave. To be quite honest, Iām sure it had to do with the way you Novalice Krystal treated them. I actually heard you speak down to them in a condescending way. I also notice the tension in the atmosphere whenever I would arrive to your establishment.
Not allowing your nail technicians to have a day off if they were sick and on top of that telling them that, even if they had a death in the family, they were not allowed to have a day off. Really?!
The majority of the remaining nail technicians are actually family members of the owner. Which is probably why not all of your technicians left.
Letās be clear about one thing. The nail techs that left, did not have to ācollectā information ā¹ļø from their clients. We, the client build a relationship/friendship with our nail technician and love the quality of their work. It is why I found my technician and will follow him/her to where ever they go. My technician didnāt even reach out to me to tell me the horrible news. Thank God I had their number from way before.
But know this, although your establishment may be well placed and clean. It doesnāt reflect in the heart of upper management.
Treat your technicians as people and not as dispensable commodities and maybe your business wonāt experience the huge Exodus you just witness.
Telling your technician that you could care less if they stay or go, and expressing to them if they donāt like their job at Novalice Krystal they can just leave and see their way out the door. Yeah, I would have walked out on you the same way they did.
Unfortunately for everyone, the one that really suffers the consequences is the client.
Good luck to you and youāll probably remove this from your page. But I know other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCompared to the other rave reviews, I was a little disappointed with my overall experience. I had called ahead of time for 2 pedicures Tuesday afternoon, and although we were both taken back and sat down at the same time, someone didn't start on my friend's pedicure until about halfway through mine, so we didn't get to finish at the same time, which was unfortunate. Tony did my nails and, while he did a good job painting them, nothing about the overall experience particularly stood out to me. I didn't find him very engaging, but I figured maybe today was an off day. He got upset my friend put her coffee on the little table attached to the chair rather than the designated cup holder area, which seem like a minor thing to correct. Even though my friend brought her coffee from somewhere else, I was not offered any refreshment by any staff member during my entire experience (even though the 2 ladies next to us were). This was a huge bummer because I saw that they have a bunch of wine and coffee options, as well as sodas and water, that I would've loved to have been offered. I really wanted to love this place and finally find a good place in St. Lucie that I can call my designated nail salon, but if I were to go back, I would choose someone else and hope that the staff actually interacts more with me than just at check in and...
