Talbots — Local services in Portage

This store is hit or miss. I went in and there were 2 registers open, each with a customer. I waited with my purchase patiently behind the 2 customers. One of the workers finished with their customer, looked at me, and then walked away to busy herself doing something else behind the counter, but not really doing anything. It was very obvious to all she was trying to avoid waiting on me. Finally the other worked asked if I was waiting to check out. I held up my 3 items and said "yes, I thought that was obvious." I would love to give this store a five, solely because the people who work there are OLD SCHOOL-FABULOUS. They create such a positive experience in so many ways and understand above -average retail concepts. So what's the problem? The merchandise. Talbots merchandise has declined in quality - we're talking plummeting, nose diving.

Andrea at the Portage location always has the best attitude and is so willing to help customers. She took the time to talk with me briefly and filled me in on their great deals.
