Qdoba is one of my top favorite fast food restaurants! This location recently did a small remodel. The layout is exactly the same, just some updates throughout. The food is delicious with good portion sizes. The things that sets them apart from Chipotle and Moe's Southwest Grill is the free guacamole and queso. Beyond the free inclusions, the queso is unmatched compared to their competitors. Simply delicious! The reason for 4 stars is due to the lack of customizations while ordering online. There is no option to add rice to nachos. I've taken surveys in the past with responses saying that they will not be updating their online customization options and if I want rice, I have to order in person. This is not ideal if I want to order ahead. My 2 recommendations are: add a note section online for these details or add all topping options into the menu so that people can order ahead. I bypass this store often due to the lack of customization which also includes no option for light, normal, heavy toppings and the wait times are always minimum 15 minutes. Also, wanted to note that they are always out of cooked food (example: when I went last month, they were out of their new lime steak AND fajita veggies with a wait time of an additional 5-10 minutes after already waiting 20 minutes to order and checkout.

Where should I start. 😔 The service was very nice. The ladies who served us and checked us out were very kind and professional. I had to ask them if they could turn the music down. It was so loud, my husband couldn't hear me talk to him, and we were standing next to each other. They baaarrrlllyyy turned it down. Our burrito bowls weren't very hot. There was literally only one other table there, and the place could use a clean-up. The staff was standing around talking. The store manager could help and direct his staff to wipe down the tables, empty the trash that was overflowing, sweep the floor, and then mop the floor. It wouldn't take that long if they did it as people left their tables. It will be a while before we return. So sad to because I love their food.

I ordered lunch for pick up and when I got back to work I found that my “burrito” was no where to be found. Instead they just put all the ingredients in a bowl… So I figured at least I could eat my chips and queso, NOPE the chips were dripping in grease and I found a hair on them as well! Disgusting! When I called the store they said I would have to come back tomorrow when a manager is there. Seems ridiculous I have to come back another day to have this resolved.

I have had Qdoba many times and always loved it. I have tried Moe's and its just not the same, Qdoba will always be my mexican food go to. I have gone to this location for years and never had a bad experience, until recently. But now I will say if you want this style Mexican food and you need it from somewhere around here, go to Moe's. You will have better service, and a consistent food product. Both you will not get at this particular Qdoba.

Here is why: Today's visit I went in around 7:30 with a line to the door yet the lobby was almost empty. We got our food to go, but didn't walk out the door until 8:10. There were 4 people behind the line and at the cash register. Only one was actually helping get people through the line and one person was at the cash register. The third person was complaining to the cashier about how busy it was and not doing anything to help with the rush. The fourth was doing busy work like wiping down surfaces that were fine as they were. He wiped down the same surface the entire time I was in line. He finally changed gloves to start helping once my order was finally done, and failed to wash his hands (which is against the health code). My husband ordered a burrito with black beans and rice. They were out black beans and offered no replacement. When he asked for additional rice instead he was met with attitude. His burrito was wrapped in a tortilla that shredded upon trying to fold. They attempted to replace it, and poorly did so. My husbands burrito fell apart and my nachos are hardly edible with stale chewy chips.

We have had similar experiences the past many times we have visited the store including: Chips with no salt Chips with no lime Cold food (which was eaten as soon as we got it, but was barely room temperature) being ignored by staff and having to shout to get service being denied change until directly asking for it basic health code violations (not washing hands before putting on gloves, cleaning chemicals being sprayed near the food, etc) Rude employees consistently long waits even when there is little to no line

I have worked in food service for years. I have worked in a restaurant almost identical to this. I understand that new staff have to be trained and will make mistakes. I understand that occasionally stuff gets made wrong. All of these things didn't just happen once or twice, but have happened many times over and over for the past few months. I do not trust the safety of the food here any more and do not advise going...

We came into the Qdoba at 6800 South Westnedge in Portage Michigan at 6:00pm, while we were served quickly, the attitudes of 2 employees (both young men, one building meals, the other running the register) clearly leave a lot to be desired. My boyfriend asked for chopped jalapenos on his meal- we know it's not something that is out, as we've had to ask for it before at other stores, he sighed saying they weren't supposed to do that. He did it, we thanked him for doing so. We checked out, and received our chips with our meal... You could see that some of the chips were wet looking - I know that they are sprayed to get the salt to stick... But when we got to our table and I picked one up, they were completely limp from grease. Over half of the chips were like that. We took them back up, and asked for another order- again we get the sigh, as if it were a bother. We got new chips- these were mostly stale, but at least they weren't dripping with grease. Honestly, we have stayed away from this particular store for over a year because service and general cleanliness of the dining room were terrible, so we choose to drive out of our way to the one at 3150 South Westnedge. Lately that one has been lacking, so we thought we would try here again. Nothing has changed. Most of the tables in the dining room were dirty, and there was only one other table of patrons eating when we came in. The sweet tea was so weak that it was barely yellow....

I am not sharing this feedback as a petty complaint, I'm sharing because I genuinely want to protect others from eating at this location. We didn't realize how bad things were until after we had already ordered and paid for our food. Every single table in the dining room was dirty. There was food and trash all over the floor. The drink station was out of everything. The bathroom had hair and grime all over the sink, toilet and floor. The worst part was behind the food line— there were literal HEAPS of garbage and food all over the floor and counters. I worked in different restaurants for 15 years so I understand completely how a dinner rush can trash a dining room, but this was far beyond that. It looked like this location has not been cleaned in weeks. The employees were pleasant but they did not seem to have any concern over the state of the cook space and dining room. This was really alarming and we're concerned about the safety of the food we just ate. It was not busy at all and there were at least two employees working with only one family in the dining room. The employees definitely could have been getting things picked up and they were not. If they have that kind of negligence for the dining room and cook space I can only imagine how they are handing the food?

This location needs to be shut down and deeply cleaned before reopening. Please...
