Roseline Coffee absolutely exceeded our expectations, and a huge part of that was thanks to our wonderful server, Ty. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of the kind of calm energy that makes you want to stay all day. The space is beautifully designed — modern yet cozy — and the aroma of freshly ground coffee hits you in the best way.
But what made our visit truly special was Ty. Incredibly friendly, genuinely kindhearted, and attentive without being overbearing, Ty made us feel completely at home. They took the time to answer our questions about the coffee offerings and shared thoughtful recommendations with real enthusiasm. You could tell they cared not just about the product, but about the people they were serving.
The coffee itself was exceptional — bright, balanced, and clearly made with skill and care. We tried both a pour-over and a seasonal latte, and each one was a work of art. It’s rare to find a coffee shop where the quality of the drinks matches the warmth of the service, but Roseline delivers on both.
We’ll absolutely be coming back — not just for the coffee, but to see Ty’s friendly...
Read morePortland sets a VERY high bar for speciality coffee, this would be a four star review in most other urban spaces.
Unfortunately all of my visits have been met by staff that are incredibly checked out, which is worth mentioning given the stark contrast to many other shops within walking distance. It’s hard to want to come here when I can go somewhere else and actually feel welcome in the space. As far as the coffee… woof. I’m not against paying $$$ for coffee/beans, but both here are truly mediocre (not awful!!! Not even bad!! Just not.. good) $22 for a bag of coffee which I could not, no matter how much dialing in I did, to have complexity or delicacy I find in every single other Ethiopian natural wash whole bean I bring home. All of those other beans also coming from Portland, for dollars less a bag.
Again, if this place existed anywhere else it’s a 4* shop, but here in Portland the bar is high, and I don’t feel like (given other nearby options) this is...
Read moreI want to love this coffeeshop. We've been to both SE and NE locations many times over the years. I love that they have good values in regards to the coffee they buy but please why is the coffee here always just warm? I want my coffee HOT. Doesn't everyone? I don't understand this latest thing in Portland where coffee is served warm. I'm sitting in, paying $6 and I've to drink the coffee fast so that I get a bit of heat before it's cold. And no I don't want my coffee EXTRA HOT. I just want it hot. Like normal! There are a few places here in Portland doing this and I'm...
