If I could rate ZERO stars here's WHY. Food is subpar, SERVICE was IRRITATING and UNFAIR. The Server ( KAYDEE) assumed that my friends and I knew how everything worked, we literally STOOD at the front door for about 20 mins before ACKNOWLEDGED. What she didn't know is that we are all from Washington state. We had to ask for our own utensils, refills on drinks, NO water was offered also she was VERY condescending like she didn't enjoy her job, it's actually like she had a PROBLEM with the COLOR of our skin or something. I did make a complaint to the lady who was running our food out, she apologized and said they were VERY short staffed. But still that's NO excuse for not having proper manners and doing YOUR BASIC JOB Duties. Then our waitrress KAYDEE'S attitude became more upbeat and cheerful. Drinks were good for sure. Then she mixes up ALL of our orders on our receipts, like for reals YOU wrote it down how hard is it to take the INFORMATION you wrote down and APPLY it to the check out system. My EXPERIENCE was not a very PLEASANT one, my friends and I will NOT be returning to this ESTABLISHMENT next we are in Portland. And to the owner of ROGUE EASTSIDE PUB & PILOT BREWERY you need to HIRE better HELP. Thank you for the worst restaurant EXPERIENCE I've EVER had. Thank goodness that not ALL of the RESTAURANTS in Portland have this kind of atmosphere and hospitality. It's very disappointing to know that there are some PEOPLE out there who are very RUDE & RACIST this day age, ESPECIALLY In the...
Read moreOk - WHERE DO I BEGIN? Rogue was the 2nd brewery we visited while in Oregon.
Drinks: My boyfriend & I both did a Rogue Taster Tray - I ordered Paradise Pucker, Naked & Frayed, American Amber & Brutal IPA. My boyfriend on the other hand who LOVES craft beer ordered a Double Chocolate Stout, Hazelnut Brown, Barrel Aged Dead Guy & Mogul Madness. Everything was really good except Paradise Pucker was more on the sweet end.
Food: We ordered a Small Kobe Beef Chili ($4), Kobe Blue Balls ($9) & Rogue Poutine Fries ($10). The Chili was phenomenal (well everything was) it was served with a slice of yummy garlic bread. The Kobe Beef Balls were Kobe Beef meatballs stuffed with Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue Cheese. And the best thing the Rogue Poutine Fries - OMG!! It was Short Ribs slow simmered with their Shakespeare Stout & cheese curds, served over Rogue Farms Idaho Fries. Ok, so my boyfriend & I are HUGE Travel Channel & Food Network fans & love watching shows about restaurants & foods around the world. We've probably seen almost 20-30 versions of Poutine Fries on these TV Shows & have been DYING to try it. Rogue's Poutine fries was absolutely HEAVEN in my mouth, literally to die for.
Funny thing, their bathrooms is a little confusing to me. They're labeled "Hops" & "Barley". I walked into the Hops bathroom & saw a guy standing at a urinal & walked right out. Hahaha then walked to Barley & saw a woman washing her hands....

This past weekend I was on a BrewCycle for my birthday. An event had been taking place at this location so we skipped going for the first round and ended up back for our final stop. I was craving a Rogue beer but on arrival the event was still going on so we went to check what time it would be over. We had less than six minutes left per the sign on the door so we were going to wait back at the brew cycle. As we turned away an employee was taking the sign out of the window and informed us it was ok to come in. So the entire group headed in. As we approached the bar we were met with an incredibly rude manager named Russ. After he asked if we were part of the group that was in there for the party, we kindly let him know we were part of the brew cycle. And that was when I witnessed the worlds fastest human fuse. Words cannot express my dissatisfaction for what took place. Everyone from the brew cycle promptly left with a look of shock on our faces. We went back in to get the rest of the crew that had been using the bathroom when we witnessed round two of Russ being completely disrespectful to his employee. Hands down this place is #1 on my Do not visit list. I feel bad for the employee that just like us could have been talked to in a more adult fashion. Management training should really be established here. I would never talk to customers or my...
