Flavors - over 5 different tastes in my meal - across a spectrum of Sweet, Spicy and Hot.

I had the Avocado Salad + Tofu pieces - made from her country style of dish. The salad dressing was spicy, but after you finished the bite - you could feel it's spice while you were smacking your lips, licking them calming it down - while enjoying even more of the flavor.

The Crispy Tofu was very unique - never had it like that. Was not a big fan of uty, but my friend was. He had the wide Lomein Egg Noodles with Chicken. Very tasty, yummy gravy style sauce - not hot. Egg Noodles were great texture and filling - not limp - but firm and just enough chew to make you feel happy and filled.

They said you can get anything, veggie - just add meat if you want it.

The Mango Sticky Rice was the perfect finale of the meal. The sweet mango, mixed with 'Bak' Rice, dark purple sticky rice bundles and soaked in a creamy sweet dairy, maybe, sauce.

Didn't ask about Vegan options - but I'm certain you can steer around their menu.

One of the most amazing meals I have had in quite a...

This place was AWFUL! Frozen soggy microwaved vegetables that were waterlogged and still cold inside, they didn’t even toss them in a pan to heat them up or try to brown the outsides. The food was packed upside down in the box, using the lid (smaller than the actual bottom) for the bottom, and it was mostly just rice. For $11 you can get MUCH better food just about anywhere in sight (and there’s a million choices!). On top of this the guy at the window was seemingly intentionally obtuse, not giving straight answers to questions about menu items, and sent the to go order without napkins or silverware. I will certainly never come back here, and I’d encourage you to try any of the other fantastic places near by, the Thai place in the house on the corner, the ramen place across the street, the fantastic little Italian cafe... save your time and your money, La Mai Plate is NOT...

Absolutely delicious!! I got the dumplings which I haven't been able to eat dumplings in YEARS, since I have celiac. Very savory and soft! I also got the coconut shrimp. Again, something I haven't had in years and years! SO GOOD. So crispy and perfect! Also I got the Ginger Orange Chicken. YUM! Huge portions and very tasty! Not too sweet, but just perfect and very fresh tasting. Last but definitely not least was the Black Sticky Rice with Purple Taro Pudding and Taro Pieces on top! Oh man. I haven't had a dessert this tasty in forever! It is not too sweet like a lot of American desserts can be but it definitely is sweet enough to be a dessert! Also a very large portion and one of the best things I've probably ever tasted, ever. Sweet, sticky, tarp flavored, with perfect crispy taro pieces on top? Amazing! All over is an amazing...

I wish I could rate them better. The server was nice, she made sure to let me know that the tofu was in fact tofu and not chicken. I really appreciated that assurance because it did look like chicken. But, to my disappointment, I don't love the tough type of tofu that they served. Along with that, I think I just ordered the wrong thing. The pictures of their food look so good, but I got noodles and they were a bit disappointing. Drowning in a sweet sauce, and not many vegetables and the too-tough tofu. Big portions. They do good marketing! But I just wish the the food was better.
