REGGIES MANGA SHOP is whimsical and what makes Portland Portland. When certain people might refer to Portland as quote unquote "Hell", REGGIES MANGA SHOP shows that there is still magic to be had in the PNW. REGGIES MANGA SHOP embodies the energy of "If we love Portland, she will love us back."
REGGIES MANGA SHOP can be found in an old house on Greeley that most recently was known as the shoe repair spot in NoPo. In retrospect, making this adorable destination into a Coffee Shop is such a no-brainer. It's still incredible to me, but not necessarily surprising, how this has been an overnight success. A manga library that leaves very little to be desired, Japanese treats that are hard to find anywhere else, and an incredible community space that feels like a second home. The ultimate "Third Place" that doesn't have the corporate "co-working space" coffee shop regurgitation. REGGIES MANGA SHOP is my favorite place in town to unwind after a long day at work - Mostly because it does not feel like I'm going back to work!!!!!!
As more shops with an adoration for Portland begin to pop up, the harder we become to stay away from. We offer so many unique experiences that don't reek of capitalism and tourist-bait, but neighboring and community-driven love. THAT is what makes Portland unique. Every time a food cart that serves the same food and the same AI generated menu for a cash-grab, the owner will not make a profit and close down citing issues that make Portland sound like it may be hell. DO NOT listen to these voices - They purposely lead you astray so that you can continue to support the SHAKES SHACKS and RAISING CANES of the suburbs where the parking is so much easier. My fellow American, I implore you to parallel park for what Portland has to offer. Take your dollars to the folks who are pouring their heart and soul into the city. Vote with your money on small businesses. LOVE THIS CITY AND IT WILL LOVE YOU BACK!
TL;DR: REGGIES MANGA SHOP is ensuring that nature is healing. Portland is SO BACK - but I would argue...
