Wow, after visiting this store for the first time today I can genuinely say that Bolden and Sons blows every other store in the area out of the water. I am so impressed by every aspect. I went absolutely crazy in the women’s clothing department which truly felt like a time capsule (something that is very rare these days!!!) I found so many iconic pieces that have been on my wishlist forever. Everything was clean, organized, and displayed nicely. Prices were reasonable across the board. To top it all off, the owner Ambakey displayed top notch hospitality and customer service, you can tell he really cares about the store and the shopping experience. He is achieving greatness in his dream of opening a thrift store and I am so happy to be one of his new customers! My fiancé and I had such a great experience at Bolden and Son! The store has a fantastic selection and welcoming atmosphere, but what really stood out was the kindness and generosity of the owner. We found a beautiful table we loved, but it turned out to be just a little bigger than expected. Without skipping a beat, the owner offered to help us get it home using his own truck!

That kind of service and genuine care is incredibly rare these days. He didn’t have to help us like that, but he did—and it made all the difference. Everyone at Bolden and Son was friendly, helpful, and truly committed to making sure we were taken care of.

What a pleasant surprise it was when I came across this thrift store on King St. in Portsmouth. The prices are much better than the bigger thrift stores and the owner couldn't be more friendly and personable!!
