This place was recommended for a refrigerator repair. Gentleman shows up ready to hop to it, diagnosis for my fridge was it's dead, cool. Then makes it known afterwards there is a $99 fee for coming out. At no point and time and posted nowhere prior was this fee made known. I personally get it, time, gas, tunnel tolls lol, but not letting the prospective customer know this up front during the confirmation of service visit calls is where this two stars comes from. It should literally be part of the opener on the call back. I assume if the fridge was repairable, all or part of this fee would go toward the total lol but wait I don't know because there are no terms provided for customers to educate themselves online or even in the vmail greeting so we don't ask any annoying and pesky questions. To be fair I shoulder part of this because I thought I inquired about a service visit fee on the vmail I left but was busy with clients walking in and it's possible I didn't, I don't expect professionals to break from daily routines to stop by for free. With that being said, I don't doubt the ability of this repairman to execute a successful repair to satisfactory conclusion, just be aware that there is a $99 service fee for coming out and you might or might not be told about it prior to being invoiced on the back end. The only upside for me here is I now have confirmation that it's best to unload a bum refrigerator to the curb, pricey for $99 but the sun has to shine somewhere on this hustle...
Read moreThis was the most horrible and unprofessional experience I have ever experienced! Ted Jones came out to my house to repair my washer. When he came out he initially stated that nothing was wrong with my washer and that the loads were off balance but he wanted to replace the drum and the price of the drum was $40. This was on a tuesday! He didn’t come back out to my home until the following Tuesday! He replaced the drum but when my husband asked him if we could do a test cycle to make sure it was working he declined and stated that he was positive everything was fine! Later that evening we went to use the washer and it kept giving a error message saying that the lid wasn’t closed! The next day he called me to tell me that the $180 that he was trying to charge me to replace the drum didn’t come off my card (Thank goodness) I told him what was going on with the washer and he stated that he would come back out the next day to do repairs again! When he came out.. after looking at the washer he proceeded to tell me that now something else needed to be replaced on the washer and we needed to pay the remaining balance from the last visit and another $200 for something that wasn’t even broken before he replaced the drum. Once I told him that I wasnt paying another dime he stormed out of my house and slammed my door! Please save yourself the trouble and find...
Read moreDefinitely NOT A REPAIR SHOP! For the third time, I called Ted Jones Appliances for help with diagnosis and repair of a appliance and was told by the same older-sounding woman that they would not work on the appliance. She then said they only worked on certain brands - Amana and Maytag. Funny, I called for help with a Whirlpool microwave which she said they wouldn't work on and yet if you look at the photos section of this account, you'll find many appliance brands...including Whirlpool. If you are looking for a repair shop, DONT call this company. Apparently, they are selective with whom they choose to service - bordering on discrimination. Save yourself the trouble and call A&E. They will...
