The owner is crazy. I won't get into the long story of the episode that had people coming up to me and asking if I was okay, after he assaulted me verbally in his store and followed me out to the street when I left. The reason? I handed him my AMEX and he threw it at me and snapped "NO AMEX" I said "I have another card to use, but please don't be nasty to me". He grabbed the item I was purchasing and ran into a corner of the store with it...like a child who might say "you can't have it." I left the store and he followed me out to the street. He was screaming in the store that I was was mad he didn't take AMEX (i had other cares and over $500 cash in my wallet, I could not have cared less which way I paid). Another customer, appalled by his crazy behavior, told him this was no way to treat a customer and he started screaming at her in the street as well. A few people came up to me and told me they left the store because they couldn't believe how he treated me. I should have called the police, but I didn't. This happened yesterday (4/9/16) and I plan to report him on Monday to the authorities. I was literally shaking when I left...he was in my face and I feared he was going to hurt me. This is not normal behavior from anyone, let alone a elderly man running a shop. When we later walked by the store (on the other side of the street), he came out and started yelling crazy stuff to my friends and me. NUTS. PLEASE DO NOT SHOP THERE. He is absolutely...
Read moreMy mom and I recently travelled to Portsmouth for some shopping. We were walking by this shop and the door was open although there was a sign stating it was closed. We nicely asked if the store was open and the owner abruptly said “Can’t you see the sign on the door, we are closed”. We left only to return the next day, as there were some cute items we wanted to look at. When we returned the next day with my 2 young children in a stroller, we weren’t greeted upon arrival but instead glared at. My mom was looking at a cloth handbag which had 2 other bags inside of it. She nicely asked if the price for all three bags was $29. The owner was incredibly rude and abrasive and said “absolutely not, are you out of your mind, how could you possibly think all of these bags are $29, my prices are better than any other store”. She was so embarrassed and belittled. Although we wanted to purchase some items from this shop, we left immediately. There are so many other great shops around the area and we wouldn’t recommend wasting any time here and...
Read moreRUDE, RUDE, RUDE!! I visited this store on Saturday afternoon with my SIL and daughter. The owner followed us around the whole time, asking us not to touch things... basically stalking us as if he thought we might steal something. We were looking at some nice hand painted signs trying to decide which to purchase and the owner basically told us to hurry up and make a purchase or leave so others could come in. We told him how rude we thought he was and left without making a purchase. My SIL sent a DM to the business and the owner responded with, "You are not our kind of customer" ( She is of Asian-American heritage) and suggested she shop at a different store!!! I would advise you to...
