We ordered a custom sofa (~$15k) from Sheffield, they delivered an out-of-spec version and refuse make it good -- to either deliver the agreed-upon sofa or refund the purchase.

All dimensions of the sofa were clearly agreed and signed off explicitly on the Sheffield order form by the Sheffield team. That is not contested by Sheffield. They delivered a sofa that looked good upon delivery. Later we realized the dimensions of the chaise portion were 3 inches (THREE INCHES!!!) narrower than specified.

The president of Sheffield hemmed and hawed for months before claiming that maybe the tightness of the upholstery was making the chaise narrower than built. The fabric pulling the wooden frame in by 3 inches?!? Totally absurd.

They also claimed 3 inches narrower was "within spec" -- 3 inches!!! Anything to avoid fulfilling their commitment.

This is a clearly a store that does not live up to its contractual commitments and will not...

We spent about 8-10K and bought a stickley grandfather clock 2 years ago in their Rockville Store.I gave them bad review 2 years ago already because what we had been through. Now the clock doesn't work.And we tried to call them. They said " oh, the clock needs maintenance yearly. "Which they didn't tell us at all when they put the clock together. And now they said because we didn't do the yearly maintenance the yearly warranty is void.This is such a shady policy. They didn't disclose this to consumer at all. So we spent so much money and get a clock without moving now. I don't know why people treat consumer like this. I do international business myself for the last 22 years. I make sure I take care of my customers all over the world. But it looks like this store can't take good care of their customer in...
