I visited the store on Richard D. Sailor Parkway in a state of concern. I had just spent $620 on a repair for my car. I hadn't even had it back a week and now, I was having trouble starting it. As a female, I always fear being taken advantage of so when a friend of mine recommended I start by visiting Advance Auto Parts to have them test my battery, I thought it was a great idea. I arrived at the store first thing this morning where I met a wonderful man named Greg. I explained to him my need and he offered to check the battery for me. He did and showed me on his device where it said the battery needed to be replaced. He then told me I could purchase the battery there and he would install it. I have never been so relieved! After he finished, I asked what the charge was for the install and almost passed out when he said it was a free service with the purchase of a battery. That might be the only thing left in this world for free! I could not believe it. I tried very hard to tip him and he declined. This may seem like nothing to other people but for me, it was a huge issue to take my car in and within 30 minutes I was on my way and new I had not been ripped off or taken advantage of. Greg was amazing, very kind, through, and helpful and again, I am forever grateful. If you even think you need a battery, for goodness sakes, go to Advance Auto Parts and spare yourself the agony of...
Read moreI'm giving this Star for the associate that atleast tried to help us. My truck stopped working and it was at the building next to their store. They had already closed but I pleaded with the associate to check my battery, that's all I needed. All of a sudden, a man that I'm assuming is the manager whispers to the associate, closes the door and locks it while the associate still had his hand on the door and speaking to us. Now, I'm not upset that they didn't help us because they were closed. I'm upset at the fact the manager was so rude, he didn't even acknowledge us as he took the door from the associate and proceeded to lock it back. If you can't help us I understand, just say that. But humanity and being polite doesn't end when you close your doors for the evening. I will no longer patronize this location, I will keep my business...
Read moreIm not usually review guy, good or bad, but this store deserves more than 5 stars. Sean, Cece, and Greg absolutely made my day! Getting off a 12 hour shift, i know my fiance needs a new battery, im exhausted, this is the last thing i want to do... Sean was knowledgeable, personable, and cut me a little slack because i looked so exhausted. Cece got the battery changed out for me and Sean and Greg were assisting in her training. The fun and energy they displayed was infectious. 100% one of the best customer service experiences i have ever had. Let alone at an auto parts store where 90% of customers are already having a bad day and dealing with something broken they dont want to spend money on.
