Walked into this location, a few minutes before closing time, my wife and I were approached by the Shift Leader, Ken. Instead of politely greeting us or welcoming us to Walgreens, he just said "You have 2 minutes to get what you need and get out". We quickly got the items we needed and proceeded to the checkout counter. Since there was someone currently checking out, my wife stopped to grab a magazine. Ken then thought that a great form of customer service would be to yell across the store at my wife that she needs to get to the checkout counter so we can leave. I approached Ken and asked how long he had been a manager. He stated that he had been in management for 10 years. I then asked him if he thought is actions were an acceptable form of customer service and why he felt the need to disrespect my wife instead of showing appreciation for our continued business. His only reply to my questions were that he loses more money for each minute after closing time that he stays open than the few dollars we spend at his store. Truly a great way to treat customers who have only shopped at Walgreens for 15 years. Sad to say that we weren't the only customers that he spoke to this way as another woman walked in as we were checking out and told her that she had less than a minute to check out an go. We checked out at 10:02. I truly apologize for the money Walgreens lost in those 2 minutes after closing time we were in your store but I can guarantee that they will never do business at this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was okay pre-Covid. I think after or during Covid they got new staff in the store and pharmacy. It's just not the same. There is never anyone at checkout in the front. And, if there is someone there is always constant arguing with other customers about coupouns. Now this could also be some of these entitled customers fault who keep the line waiting while they argue over expired coupouns.
The pharmacy used to be well organized when it was under the old management. The new one leaves much to be desired. And don't even try to go through the pharmacy line unless it is at the time they open. Other than that it will be a very long wait. Not something you can do on a lunch break. Prescriptions are hardly ready in a timely manner. Although you may receive a phone call from Walgreens stating your medication is ready, when you get there they will tell you it is not, and ask can you come back. Ain't nobody got time for that!
The place is also overpriced, you would do better going to the dollar store. I will say they do have over the counter medicine that has been hard to find in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbout a year ago the pharmacy was an awful experience. You never could get anybody to answer the phone. I have mobility issues and since they were the only pharmacy with a drive through in the area I forced to use them. I would have to call the store itself and speak with the store manager and leave a message with them to have someone from the pharmacy to call me back. When you're in a lot of pain, this can be a miserable experience.
Well. I'm not sure what happened but everything has changed for the better. Now, when I call the pharmacy, it's as though I am calling an entirely different business. I always get somebody to answer the phone right away. They are always very pleasant and they get things done quickly and efficiently. Gone are the hour long waits at the drive through. Many times, when I have a question for the pharmacist, I get them on the phone right away and they seem to care. I could go on and on but I think I have made things clear. I am so relieved. I am temporarily in bad health but Powfer Springs pharmacy has made my life so much easier....
