I moved to this side of town for work and have been diligently looking for a hibachi place that is up to par with my former "second home" (AKA Tokyo Cafè). Nagoya was my first try. Very unpleased to say the least. Food rating might be a 3 star, nothing special. The service I received I should be giving a one start for. I typically will give a store/restaurant 2 tries to earn my business because we're all capable of having bad days. My second visit proved they don't care about great customer service. It was the same lady, same rude demeanor. I don't drink soda so I had ordered a water, resulting in her handing me a small clear plastic cup. I ordered a meal, I'd like an actual drink along with my order -not a little "water cup". I returned to the counter and asked for a regular sized styrofoam cup for my water. She proceeded to look me in the eye and say "you want water or soda?" Dumbfounded that she made me repeat myself only because I wanted a regular size cup, I replied with "I asked for a water but I want this cup." And pointed at it. I offered to pay for it if I had to. She rolled her eyes and handed me another cup and walked away. When I grabbed my food I thanked her, she didn't even look at me nor acknowledge me and turned around. Won't...
Read moreI Love Nagoya or the ones I had Food from before. I got Teriyaki Steak & Shrimp. First, I called my order in from just outside as I was nearby. Lady answered, took order, hung up. No time, name of order under just click! Okay! That wasn't the story! I picked up my order-caller ID is how they know your order, Fine! I get my order to the car and kept smelling a very strong, pungent odor. Well, outside there was an odor.....something dead near by? I live 30 miles from Powdersville. I got to about Williamston-Belton area & realized the rank smell was my dinner!! Literally, it was Spoiled or Rank Shrimp. It had awful odor. Mistake! I opened the box to make sure. I has to stop and grab something else to carry home for dinner. And I called The Nagoya Powdersville. more due to the fact of letting them know that Shrimp was Spoiled, Ruined! They needed to check their other supply. THAT CONVERSATION WENT WAY BACKWARDS. Ruined shrimp, was I didn't like Teriyaki Steak and Shrimp! I told her finally No, I didn't eat because it would make me sick with Shrimp Poisoning. She offered me another dinner, I said no thank You! Refunded today in Cash? Paid with my credit card. Read moreFor the price, I wasn't expecting counter ordering, self serve. We poured our drinks and gathered our plasticware and any of their available sauce packets. This was like a simple Chinese take out establishment. When you spend almost $80, you expect more. It felt like no one cared whether we liked the food or not. There were 3 of us and we were all disappointed with our food. The lady at the counter was not helpful. It was our first time there. The hibachi and teriyaki didn't have much flavor at all, the sushi looked like grocery store sushi that was 98% rice, & there was no good sauce options for our crab rangoons (which were too hard). Usually there is a sweet chili sauce or at least a sweet and sour sauce. We will NEVER go there again. We had company with us and wanted to treat them to a nice meal. What a disappointment. I don't like to give really negative reviews, but it was such an expensive lesson, I hope to save someone else from the...
