Seating was limited but very quick. Our drinks consistent of two michiladas but when we asked our server that we wanted it without certain things she gave us face gestures as if we were too picky. She came back with our drinks and ask if we were ready to order and i said give us a few minutes, that turned into 10-15 minutes of her not coming back without refilling our drinks or asking if we wanted more chips. Finally she came back and we asked for refills and ordered our food. It took about 15 minutes for our food to come out and we wanted some salsa, chiles and another refill. She never came back until the manager saw us looking for our serve. He took over and attended us finally gave us pico de gallo along with salsa and jalapenos and another round of beers. He was very attentive and only because of the manager I feel it's right to give 3-stars. Ultimately while we were eating we didn't see our serve, and our table was full of plates another server came by and asked if we wanted anything and my father asked for another round of beers and she said we had to wait for our server he was upset that we hadn't seen our server for 20-25 minutes. The manager overheard and came to attend us again, followed by our original server who we found out is the wife of the manager and owner of the restaurant. My father took it upon himself to complain that we've been waiting and she had an attitude and wasn't attending us and she responded if we weren't happy with service we don't have to pay and walked away in a rude manner, then in spanish I heard her say "latinos are always demanding and want all the attention and free food". The manager took it upon himself to talk with us and calm the situation. Offered us dessert or a beer and obviously at this point we took the beer. Overall customer service definitely needs to be improved the food was decent. Once the manager gave us their special salsa and pico de gallo everything seem to have more of a Mexican authentic taste. I might return in the future only because of...
Read moreNormally, this restaurant is a really inexpensive and quick service place to eat. However, today, the restaurant was quite busy. Upon arrival we were told that it would be about a 30 minute wait. We sat outside the restaurant, waiting for a table, until we noticed that groups of people were showing up and being seated while we were still waiting. We waited for an hour and a half before seating ourselves at a table outside. We were promptly brought chips and salsa, however the waiter didn't show up to the table for another half an hour. We were given menus and our drink order was taken, and 20 minutes later the waiter returned to take our order. 2 hours. That's how long it took to get our food after ordering. Several times we would have to send one of our dining members in to get an update on the food, as the waiter didn't return to our table unless we went inside and asked for him. It started to rain heavily when we were sitting outside waiting for our food, and the restaurant staff made no effort to sit us or any other customers that were dining outside, inside the restaurant. We eventually picked up our table and moved it down the building under the small awning that was there. The wait staff was rude, the management didn't show face, and our bill at the end of the night was full price, despite the 4 hour wait. Will not...
Read moreI have eaten here on a number of occasions recently and the service is great. The salsa that comes with the tortilla chips, which are customary with Mexican food restaurants, is some of the best around. They make it with fresh chunks of tomato and plenty of cilantro. It can be easy to binge on the chips and salsa because it's so good -- so by the time you get your entree, you're taking the rest of it home with you. Compared to other local Mexican food restaurants, this one seems a little bit more expensive, but only by about $3 more on average for the same dish/combo. They make guacamole fresh in the dining room, which is a cool idea. This is a quaint, small restaurant with low capacity for dining occupancy, and can be cramped when tables are filled, but it's a charming little restaurant. It's your typical, fast, assembly line style food; so, don't expect perfection. But, as long as you don't mind that,...
